Do you offer faucet script or we can make a faucet without hosting.
Hi,

there's going to be a faucet script, but not on launch. I just need to roll out a working microwallet website where me and other faucet owners will be able to mitigate their sites before faucetbox/paytoshi's shutdown.

It is probably in your interest to start off with just an API until you get enough interest to need more for it.
Do we know why faucetbox is closing - is it a reason that you should be worried about?
After that, more things will probably be added to site - to mkae it comparatively better than faucetbox?
Well, main thing is to launch with the API first, then I can keep adding more stuff, as demand grows.

FaucetBOX is closing because it's not profitable to run it in the current faucet ecosystem.

I don't want to reveal many things before I make them/upload them online, so I can't give any info on that ;p
Just protecting my ideas/business, that's all, heh

Keep an eye on the official thread, I add 1-2 screenshots on main page every day, so you guys can follow the progress

Sounds Great!
I like the idea of people not announcing things before they are released (when they're useful updates) as it adds a greater suprise as to what happens and how it can change to make it better. It also means that if you can't quite get something coded fast enough then you don't have a deadline and aren't forced to release something that's faulty and negatively impact your business. If you have a more profitalbe company that you feel will last lonnger than faucetbox then it's definitely good.

Taking into consideration that faucetbox closing I would like to ask if anybody knows, users had reached their threshold will take their coins. I had reached threshold 5 days ago but coins had not sent to my wallet. Faucebox says 'Your coins will be sent to you in up to 48 hours after you reach the threshold'. I read their announcement and I sent them an email. I know that they have bigger problems than my own so I ask if there are other users in the same situation as me know something about it.

We had some problems with bitcoind daemon. We fixed it today (I hope) and you should get your coins with next batch of transactions.

Thank you for your immediate answer

That service could be profitable to run. In a very simple way, too.

A lot of us depended on faucetbox's service. I personally didn't care about the previous fee they had. It's normal for users who launch a faucet today and close it in a month that they're gonna moan about higher fee than 1%. (or any fee, actually)

You can't simply satisfy everyone. It's everyone vs your business. You're the one running your business. There's always customers who'll stick around for X or Y reason.
Perhaps, however that is not how FaucetBOX wanted to run it. I personally would have kept the fees high, however it was not not mine (or anyone else's) decision.

Anyway.
Since you've been "helping" them somehow, can you tell me why wouldn't they want to sell their project? What if the pope asked them to buy it, they wouldn't still sell it?

They handled their business professionally ever since I got into faucet business. But what they're doing right now, isn't quite professional. They're getting offers from people who're legit and honest in bitcoin business, yet, they don't want to sell the project, because of "image".
Would just like to say that I don't and never had worked with FaucetBOX in a professional manner. By helping them, I helped answer queries and do bits of coding in their forum thread(s). I have no influence or knowledge in what goes on behind the scenes.
Regarding them not selling the project, I have no idea. I expect that they have built a reputation around their service and they would not like anyone else to change that - not positively or negatively. I understand that there are many capable people that could take over, however they clearly would not like to pass the baton. I think that should be respected.

How do users feel when they have to move to other providers, instead of just staying on the same provider with a new team/owner/admin/call it anyhow?
^ That's the part which doesn't make sense. That's why people are suspicious/making up conspiracy theories, etc.
I understand that it is annoying to have to move, it is the same for me. I think the best thing we can do as a group in this situation is make it as easy as possible to switch between faucet providers, like FaucetBOX did with Microwallet in the past.

That's a sad news  Embarrassed . From the site stats it can be seen that the users withdrew about 24 BTC and the site has experienced a loss of 3.5% till now. I always thought that they would have been always profiting from the faucet owners' fee, etc. but this didn't turn out so.

And these are stats for last 14 days only Sad

Now the dev. must focus on other script providers like xapo, epay, etc. and help spreading bitcoins to newbies !

It's really sad news from Faucetbox, but let's be honest, it wasn't very big surprise. We all know that Faucetbox Adsense account was banned and without it become really hard to keep service. And I can understand Kazuldur decision not to sell service. Yes, potential buyer Mexicantarget is trusted guy, but no one can guarantee that he will run services successfully. And if he fails, many can blame Kazuldur for that.
Yes I have also think that, Faucetbox closing his site because of adsence. Now adsence is trying to remove their ads from all popular faucet website.

Don't worry, look this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faucethubio-microwallet-9-coins-dice-jackpotgamesexchange-1672870

A new Micropayment System that will replace FaucetBox. And don't worry about adsense, faucets will find a way to continue existing and paying users. That is just bad days...

Yep! mexicantarget is doing great job! His new service probably will be even better than faucetbox and paytoshi together! Cheesy

With AdSense is other thing. They always have biggest rates. As we all know they are slowly removing faucets, so now (in my opinion) the best is MellowAds. Mexicantarget is preparing also advertising network - hopefully will be similar to Mellowads or Bitmedia.

Anyway, no worries guys! Community is going forward!  Grin

I hope you are right. I don't want the faucets end. Many persons including me like to claim on faucets, doesn't matter if the rewards are low now, but it's a nice activity to do. FaucetBox is great and already helped me a lot sending my satoshis to my wallet.
Sad this service will end, I never thought it could happen.

Do not worry, before FaucetBox were other micropayments services that already gone and no longer exist. Mexicantarget do new, better service, but as I know that this guy has a head full of ideas, so in a year or two will sell it and will open something bigger!

Good luck mexicantarget!

FaucetBOX takes a 1% fee on Bitcoin deposits, and a maximum of 1.7% on any other coin. I have no idea where you got 5% from.

They said that is a not profitable https://faucetbox.com/en/closing Grin I don't believe it , as long as they charge 5% from faucet owners deposits i don't see how this can be no profitable. Lies.
FaucetBOX takes a 1% fee on Bitcoin deposits, and a maximum of 1.7% on any other coin. I have no idea where you got 5% from.
Keep in mind that they also have to pay the fees on withdrawals, which is what has eaten up a significant amount of their money. Because faucet owners did not care for the service, they moaned until the fees were lowered. This resulted in FaucetBOX making around a 1.25BTC loss from Bitcoin's fees of sending over the network. Granted, ads helped supplement this somewhat, but seemingly not enough.

It is very simple to see that this service was not profitable to run, and calling the people running it liars after tying to do nothing but please faucet owners is pissing on their grave.

Lol, is this really true? So how will we receive our payments from faucets sites?

Some people are earning a high daily income there, what will happen now?

They will move to other similar services. The faucet business isn't really popular anymore though, it used to be in around 2013 when the price hype was in fame. I used to play on faucets non-stop.

oh God , Faucetbox is closing. Going to disable all APIs of faucets.

Is there anything similar that can be used?
There are things like Xapo, but they are less anonymous for earnings and require lots of informaiton just to earn from them.

This is quite strange as they should really be in nprofit based on the number of users who use their services?

Are your services fully operational yet?

I'm launching my own service. I'll have to, I run way too many projects to waste time by using another provider.

Hardest decision I have right now is picking a name for the project

I and many others have full faith in you. But still if you can convince those Faucet box people out there to sell it to you. If they want to save name of FaucetBox. Offer them to change the name and they can keep the name with them for any projects they want in future.

That way you are saved a lot of basic work and can concentrate on making it better. Other wise it again takes a few months to just make new service stable.

In any case please provide us with the API for sure.  Grin
There's something going on with faucetbox, they're not saying what's up.

No sane captain would allow his ship sink without looking into alternatives.

Anyway, I've offered them $2000. If they want to sell it, I'll be around.

I'm starting coding tomorrow when I wake up. I can bring a new service to life in under a week.

Peace out folks

Are you sure about this news? faucetbox going to shutdown their services. if this true then its a bad news.
looks pretty official to me. they lost their google adsense a while ago, that is probably why.
What do you mean by loosing adsense? There was no adds on main page, right?
Anybody know other reasons for this decision?
Pretty surprising that this site is closing... thought that was good business.
But I'm sure that something else will pop up in place.
You're right.

building on the faucetbox name would be good. maybe something like... faucetbay... or something else. maybe do a public vote?

Lol, is this really true? So how will we receive our payments from faucets sites?

Some people are earning a high daily income there, what will happen now?

Can't blame them faucet business have gotten old and dying. Bots and adblockers have ruined the business. Personally i have no problem with adblock users since i also use it but i am aware of the consequences of using adblock. So, when i visit websites which i really like, i simply turn it off. As for the botters, they can go to hell.

Lol! Thanks for posting this.
I had just ended up integrating faucetbox with my Latest Mobile Game.. I should go for Xapo or Paytoshi maybe now?

Not exactly, last version of Faucetbox script is accepting aPay.info, so (probably) there will be no problem to establish your faucet on their API. But ePay.info accepts only BTC, DOGE and LTC, so if it was DASH faucet - then yes - you are in troubles!

Bad news for faucet users and faucet owners, faucet business isn't popular as it was before. Faucet users still have 2 months to withdraw coins and owners to migrate to other service.
