Many faucets are not paying to their users amd i've tried so many faucets but not all of them are paying . I dont think ot can be considered as a scam because we are not actually investing our money but what's annoying is we just wasted our time and the faucets owner are the only one who are receiving a benifits from our wasted time .

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

faucet give you a small amount of crypto currencies just for visite the site itself!

a ponzi required that you invest a quantity of money (and often refer other people to speed up your earnings) to get an "insane" ROI (every time it's a scam).

Faucet -  free satoshis - investing time - the probability of some faucets not paying is there, but the loss is just time (which is precious)

Ponzi - invest to earn - less time + more amount - the probability of getting scammed is very high (99.9%)

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

Ponzi is paying early "investors" with deposit of late "investors", and when there are no more investors, site can't pay anymore, and it collapse, almost everybody lose their money.

In faucet you don't have investment, owners of faucets makes money through adds they put on site, and when you come to site you get payed because you solve captcha and make some traffic to owner

Indeed the only thing you have to invest in faucets are time and effort so
Considering faucets with investing btc is quite questionable and shall
Be considered as one of those ponzis

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

Faucets are different with ponzi , faucets or the faucet owners are giving you a free bitcoin everytime you are using , visiting and claiming at their website while the ponzi is taking your money away from you they asking you for a specific amount and theyll claim that they can double it but in fact they are just going to scam .

I saw some faucets which was like farming game and to cashout you had to invest. These type of faucets can be named as ponzi schemes, because it pays to old investors with fresh investors money.

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

You can use faucets for free, so they aren`t Ponzi schemes (but you will earn low satoshis rewards). If the faucet gives you the possibilite to invest, you must see if their offer isn`t too good to be true. Otherside it`s a "hybrid'' faucet/ponzi scheme. So don`t invest.

Instantly payment faucets are the best to use also. So you don`t need to worry about if you will be paid or not.

faucet can is ponzi, when the owner add "investment" scheme, like more new faucet, when you can earn for example 100 satoshi every 20 minutes, but if you buy upgrade , can earn more.

Remember, faucet is free, if see faucet with payment or with very high withdraw amount, is a scam

Ponzi was the name of a man, Mr Ponzi.
The Ponzi scheme was named after him after he started a pyramid style scam and ripped off lots of people and make alot of money.
From then onward it was known as Ponzi scheme.

A faucet is a way of generating revue through advertishing.

A Ponzi scheme is related to a faucet like a mouse is to a ferarri -_-

you can only consider the faucet as ponzi if it has high payout rate but if the faucet is paying instantly to faucetbox or xapo wallet with an acceptable price then you can't say that it is a ponzi one here is also the thing  for me i also consider those faucets that making anti bot links tricks in their faucet
which can possibly make you to click the ads(not intended)

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?
In faucets the money you get are coming from the advertising earnings,in ponzis you get the money of the new members that join after you when new members stop joining no more money are coming and the whole system collapses.

it is possible faucet itself will collapse?

Yes ofcourse,if the faucet earnings are lower that the payouts then the owner has to cover the cost from his own pocket, obviously no one is going to do this and the faucet will stop paying after a while. But unlike poznis you never deposited anything  and you will not lose any money,it will be only a waste of your time.

Faucet actually pays instantly except some having minimum threshold and manual payment. But ponzi is only out there to scam and you have to spend money and could loss it. But some manual faucet could also be considered as ponzi because they scam your valuable time.  Wink

You could find only very few faucets as scams or ponzi. In my view as faucets won't give you a good earning for the time you spend on it, some indicate it as a ponzi.

why you can say faucet is a ponzi? whereas you do not invest in it. and ponzi is an investment site that relies on members to pay the other members

Exactly faucets are not ponzi but surely a waste of time, but its good for newbies who don't have any other source of earning bitcoin, its good for them to start off.

Actually while core mechanics of faucet and ponzi scheme is different you can mix them up pretty well. So this question is not that unfounded as it might seems.
There were many instances of faucet+ponzi mixes in the past. Some of the most successful ponzi schemes incorporated and based itself on faucet formula.

The idea was to give people very well paying faucet for free and if they choose they could level it up by paying a fee and increase their BTC flow.

I thought he was asking if faucet is ponzi when I saw his thread title. They are different man. You can earn few satoshi in faucet for free  while in ponzi you need to invest btc to get profit only if they arent yet turned into scam. But imo they have something in common "waste of time".

I think the main difference is, you cannot lose anything when you use a Ponzi, apart from the time wasted to use it. You invest none of your own time into the faucet, and they do not promise you huge returns. You invest some electricity for the time you spend to solve the Capthas, but that is about it. These faucet owners use Ad income and some of their own money to fund these faucets.

There are no money coming in from any user, apart from the faucets who implemented some sort of gambling multiplier or a lottery system, where you have to buy something to participate. ^hmmmmm^

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

Faucets are type of site which pay small amount of satoshi to their users for viewing the site/page, and typing a captcha..

and ponzi are the sites which made by stealing peoples money. ponzi sites will ask for investment and faucets are don't require any type of investments.

And Now, faucets are not ponzi. but earning from faucets are very low as nothing. and working on faucets also consider as waste of time.

Well, I see people have explained the difference very well, so I won't make you read it all again.
I'll just add this: the best idea is to keep away from both. Not worth your time.

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

very different,
FAUCET (free) Bitcoin faucets are a reward system, in the form of a website or app, that dispenses rewards in the form of a satoshi, which is a hundredth of a millionth BTC, for visitors to claim in exchange for completing a captcha or task as described by the website. There are also faucets that dispense alternative cryptocurrencies.Bitcoin faucets are a reward system, in the form of a website or app, that dispenses rewards in the form of a satoshi, which is a hundredth of a millionth BTC, for visitors to claim in exchange for completing a captcha or task as described by the website. There are also faucets that dispense alternative cryptocurrencies.

PONZI (not free) A Ponzi scheme (also a Ponzi game or a Ponzi) is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned through legitimate sources. Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent.

Ponzi schemes occasionally begin as legitimate businesses, until the business fails to achieve the returns expected. The business becomes a Ponzi scheme if it then continues under fraudulent terms. Whatever the initial situation, the perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to sustain the scheme.

The scheme is named after Charles Ponzi, who became notorious for using the technique in 1920. The idea, present in novels (for example, Charles Dickens' 1844 novel Martin Chuzzlewit and 1857 novel Little Dorrit each described such a scheme), was actually performed in real life by Ponzi who with his operation took in so much money that it was the first to become known throughout the United States. Ponzi's original scheme was based on the arbitrage of international reply coupons for postage stamps; however, he soon diverted investors' money to make payments to earlier investors and himself.

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?
No. It will be a ponzi if the faucet requires you to send them money for membership and access and asks you to invite new members who will pay in if that's how it goes then its a ponzi but I don't see those in faucets. Faucets earn from ads posted all over their website.

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

These are two completely different thing's.  A faucet as I say pay's cents per hour and is dust payments.  So it is a horrible way to spend time but you know going into it that you will make little for many hours of work.

Ponzi are harder to tell think of like the fake cloud mining sites.  They ask for X amount and claim you will get great returns. They pay some people with other peoples money just shuffling money around.  They do this till they have the most money they think they will get... then disappear in most cases.  But a Ponzi will always want money, and proof of payment for a small period of time does not prove something is not a ponzi do the shuffling of money mentioned above.

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?

as long as the faucet is not asking you to pay anything, like investing back the dust payment to get more it has nothing to dowith ponzi. in short ponzi is a scam and will eventually they will reach their end and stop working, this stop can be at the very first hour or it can be in a couple of weeks.

what is the different between faucet and ponzi?
Ponzi is where the payment that you get is from other's money. So in ponzi you should invest first so that you can assure that you will get paid because they get money to new investors. In faucet they give you few satoshi but it's like give and take because you take satoshi from their sites but you also give them chance to earn by visiting their sites and they earn money by the advertisements that are attached to their site. I hope you got my point on comparing faucet and ponzi  Roll Eyes.

Faucets give you small amount of bitcoin which is earned from their advertisement spaces. When you visited their sites, they were earning money from adsense and they give you some of them Grin. Basically they are good sites

Ponzi are bad. They give you money which is other's money. When you joined ponzi, you would be asked to pay some bitcoin to them. They will use it to pay other members until the last one who join the ponzi. The last one who join the ponzi, will lose all of his money.
