FYI it's not necessarily the miner that loads the CPU down, some ads will run the CPU at 99% regardless if you have a miner running or not.
A lot of sites will be running the miner at lower settings so not to overload the user cpu, consider things like these before you go on a witch hunt.
People whine when there are too many ads, people whine about popunders, people whine about interstitial links, people whine about browser mining...
How are the faucet owners supposed to finance the faucet you're claiming from?

I think you are out of topic. We are taking about faucet that run the miner without user consent and i guess your site is one of it (correct me if im wrong)?
I agree with you that a lot of sites will be running  miner at lower settings but most of it also mentioned this on their site and share the profit mined.
If you are solely or mostly profit from miner then I don't think your site will sustain for long.
Go look for better ads network or perhaps you can put few more banners on your site. People don't mind to see few more banners than having to run the CPU because not many people has powerful CPU.

You can tell the sites that are doing it because invariably you'll get a load of warnings from your anit-virus software, usually maked from coinhive and it's a .js scipt. It seems like it's suddenly a craze.

You can try one of these sites, cpu run at full speed as soon as you launched the sites.

https://vibez1.tv/
https://vibez1.tv/bitcoins/
http://bitflips.info
http://freecoins.info/
http://printmoney.info/

The owner didn't provide any information about it and just has the mining run without user consent.

If you happened to be the owner, please at least put a notification what you are trying to achieve whether for test purpose or reward will be given if we keep the site opened.
If there is no notification, then I can only assumed that you are just trying to use our cpu to make money without sharing the profit.

Seems a new hype. I have seen a faucet today using this feature, running mining without permission and there wasn't any ads on the faucet, what means faucet owner thinks he can have income only from this mining to pay users, but it's in beta testing as he said. I agree with you all, it's not a good practice, it overloads faucet users systems especially because these people open several tabs at same time and try to claim faster as possible to don't lose time.

For who wants to check the respective faucet thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/freebtc88com-bitcoin-faucet-2214474

Oh thanks buddy for informing everybody about this. Its a new information for me.  I havent come across such a faucet till this date. If anyone knows please mention it here. I know a faucet that mines using the users cpu and gives payout based on that. But the faucet owner has already specified about it in his faucet . Other than that I dont know anything about this.

Thanks for the warning. It's not nice behaviour to run miner without informing users about it. Some faucets using Proof of work Captcha by Coinhive, but other just integrated their script and users will not notice miner.
It would be nice to share names of these faucets here.

I've found this on several sites recently. It's bad practise not to be given the option and makes me leave asap. I understand the reasoning behind it, but faucet owners should ask permission first plus give users a share of the bitcoin mined.

I have been testing this out on my old site. I will reduce it to 50%, as this could be a problem for some users.

Anyone noticed some faucets run mining without user consent?
If you happened to access these faucets and didn't close it, you will notice the CPU is running at 100%.
Please remember to close the faucet site once you have done claiming to avoid CPU running at maximum.
