Maybe start with a "not so popular" currency like ethereum (its more a longterm thing and you have not every day to refill ^^) -  take a look at http://ethfaucet.net/ they have an easy to install template.

Building a Bitcoin or Dogecoin faucet is fun. Smiley

You should try it.

Main key is getting organic traffic for your ads and budget for reward payout. Wink

Little Maths is required.

Nowadays running a faucet site is Profitable! I don't think so.most common needed by faucet owner is protect his faucet from attackers.

Scammers, bots and hackers, if you know how to do that then go start setup one.

I wonder is 0.001 - 0.003 capital needed per day, week or moth? I had a doge faucet in the past that cost me 0.01 every few days (faucetbox payment) with custom  script .

I fond later the bots claimed 5k doge once per claim,so scammers(multi addresses) ,bots and hackers are dray my facet very fast.

I Have a Multiple Questions that I would like to ask on Faucets Cheesy

1-How Hard is it to Set up a New Faucet ?  - if you using some faucet template - it's not very hard, just use text editor and change some API keys and so. But it will look VERY mainstream, try to make something different with some extra and idea. And this is way harder

2-Is it Profitable ? - It depends how you set up the rewards - you must make attractive rewards, but not as high to be in loss from ad rewards. If you set up low rewards, you will not have too much visitors and ad revenues will go down rapidly

3-How much capital do i need ?  - Few 100.000 satoshis is enough for the beginning, if you thinking in small faucet - for the beginning i am recommending it to you.

4-Do i need to have any specific experience ?  - yes and this is the hardest. In the bitcoin world there are lots (really tons) of dangers - scammers, robots, hackers, you must protect your faucet from attackers. It will also need a good web hosting service. Probably you will pay for your beginner errors and the fact, you haven't experience. In my first faucets i was robbet by bots, i was unable to attract players. Also you must have some basic coding experience (php, html , also SQL experience is welcome too).

Making a good and profitable faucet is a really hard work, and it's not a "1 day job", otherwise everybody will make faucets Smiley Also you must take care of your alexa ranking of your hosting to get better advertisement networks, you must know what ad services are scam and not paying. Man there is really lot of things you must know and calculate with them.. Smiley

1.- If you have some experience in design and coding it won't be so hard! also you can buy the templates in the internet serching for them if you don't have any experience in coding and desing
Also don't forget to add A-B Links to stop the majority of bots! (Not all) but it stops the majority

2.- Depends of your traffic and your Networks!
Here is my list of the Networks what i am currently using
1-CoinMedia.co
2-AdsBit.net
3-Coinzilla.io
4-Ppcadmedia.com
5-A-ads.com
6-Adbit.co (You need bids on your ads to get good income from this network :/ )

3.-0.003 depends on what kind of faucet you do, i'm currently managing BTC/LTC/DOGE and i give 0.001 BTC per faucet and using shapeshift.io to exchange the BTC to DOGE & LTC

4.-Not much but rebember there will be bots trying to drain your faucets! And try to put a good reward with the timer of the faucet!

If you have any more questions PM me or quote this message!  Wink
