Wow, zebra btc and weekendbtc have all lowered their prizes!!

Not just them ... many have with the rise in the value of the BTC.
It's not unusual.

Low BTC $ value = higher payouts
High BTC $ value = lower payouts

Yes, and it is easy to explain: Faucet owners, to keep faucets filled, earn money mostly from AdSense - this service pay in fiat. So every time when Bitcoin price rises, faucets rewards is going down.

There was time when faucet reward was 5 BTC !!!  Grin

Maybe will come time when 1000 satoshi will be worth $1000 Wink

That would really be fantastic, but I would be a little more modest-let's say 1000 Satoshi valid only $ 10 one day, most faucet users would be rich Cheesy

And then all of as we can call Early Adopters. Can you imagine - Early Faucet Users meeting - Bora Bora 2020 Cheesy Then I would go back to bitcointalk, quoted several persons.. and ask them how they feel now.. Grin

Faucets do work well for me.
Only we should be selective and keep an eye on the new releases.
Otherwise, its waste of time for sure.

It's all pointless. You will waste a ton of time on faucets and earn almost nothing.
exactly, better buy bitcoin for 1$... 10$... it will be much more reasonable than wasting time with faucets

Just remember that $10 could get you mcdonalds..

Its free money regardless.. you can pay for something on ebay and make it useful.

Well a lot of people will say faucet were time wasting and pointless but if you want to earn much faster, you can try using rotators or any faucet lists out there. Just on this section alone, you'll see good rotators with high paying faucets Smiley

Faucets are to promote coins. On Bitcointalk Bitcoin don't have to be promoted because everyone know him and here is tones of faucets with BTC. Some altcoin faucets many times give more earnings because developers want promote them and bring new users.. When you claim Alts, but you want only Bitcoin - then you can easly exchange them for BTC - for example here: www.bittrex.com

I don't know many faucets because long time i don't use them, but I remember this three and i check that still are paying:

Litecoin - www.litecoinme.ga
Dogecoin - www.anchordoge.tk
DASH - www.dashfaucet.tk

I have already done that!

I asked, how can you enroll (be accepted into a signature campaign)?
Here is an overview of signature campaigns: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/overview-of-bitcointalk-signature-ad-campaigns-last-update-01-jan-23-615953
Choose one you like, go to their thread, and they will instructions on what you need to do. You usually need to first add their sig, then enroll with a post that usually has info such as username, posts, rank, and activity. Make sure you read the OP of those threads to get full information.

How worse is epay compared to faucetbox?

Faucetbox is the largest micropayment cache online, there are hundreds of Faucetbox based sites - ePay had a few popular ones, but essentially it's just a payment system designed by the owners of Spin-And-Win (Starsbit etc) when Microwallet folded. There's a few faucets out on ePay, but I don't think it's really comparable.

Faucetbox is the prodigal son.

Here is a list of sig campaigns, you can check them yourself https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/overview-of-bitcointalk-signature-ad-campaigns-last-update-01-jan-23-615953.

Please note that if you do join a campaign, you need to keep your posts constructive and not spammy. This will keep you paid and will prevent you from being banned. Also, being paid for posts DOES NOT mean that those posts were constructive or not spam.

I've tried to gain substantial amounts of BTC from endless faucets but havent had any luck thus far...are they're any good ones out there to make a fast come up or is it all pointless?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, Im new!

Pretty much pointless, unless you have many, many refs on freebitco.in or you own some bigger faucet, otherwise it's pointless.

Yes may be with huge number of referrals we can make some decent profits from faucets. Other wise faucets may kill our earning time. Owning a big faucet is not feasible for many people here. Only selective faucets may help collecting some satoshi.

Getting a lot of referrals is pretty much impossible.  I think we can all agree on this.  Saying to someone hey you can make a few cents a hour and make me the same use this link! Does not bring people running to it.

The ones I consider smart are faucet rotators they wrote a program to keep you doing faucets over and over... each one uses the makers referral ID.  So that is the "new" way to get someone to use a referrer and some don't even know it when using the rotator.

They ARE worth it ... BUT ... only in the beginning when your new to Cryptos.
Its better to learn with 'dust' the value of :
1/ typing the right address in the right spot.
2/ what web wallets are for, and what real wallets are for.
3/ fees.

Remember, there are 2 kinds of mistakes.
an Ooops ... charges you a fee and you accidentally move nothing.
an Oh-S#*T ... its gone !
Faucets let you learn the difference and how to avoid both.

That being said, I still use 5 faucets, earning about 150000 satoshi a day. (helps with fees)

Well this is right, i use faucet is only for pay miner fees on my wallet, besides it, faucet is good try for beginners to understand about how bitcoin send/receive, transaction works and other thing which can be used when you tru to trade some coins.

That is a lot of time to do though for fee's that in most cases are in the cents.  To spend that much time on a faucet for cents a hours is not good time management.

Does not really matter what you do with the faucet money.  It just is to slow to  amount to anything worthwhile.

Best time-effort fauceting I have done is through rotator Lets get crypto (just google it). They offer a very high paying list of faucets, a firefox plugin to claim a little faster, and free referals for using it.

It is not worth the time still, but you can work your way to get many referals and then get some BTC passively from their commision.

Even doing this it's still cents per hours in most cases.   Like you said it's not worth the time.  A rotator all your doing is making that person who made it a lot of referrals.  As it uses their ref code when it goes to each one.    So he/she is sitting back relaxing whall you make him cents per hour as well.

Getting many referrals on faucet's just really does not happen anymore.  Everyone knows they are pretty bad on income... so its a tough sell.

Faucets are completely waste of time literally and it's not "FREE",you will get a dust for sure, without new twist or features  it's always be.

Never waste your time and attention even entertaining the thought of using them find a better angle for you to earn more.

Yes, I second this and this can't be said enough. Faucets are here to introduce new people to sending and receiving Bitcoin transactions. That's what they are designed for. They were never meant to be for people earning from them.

So who wants to waste time to enter captchas all day and earn a dust, go for it. But I think there are much better ways people can spend this time and earn more bitcoins.

I currently make around 50,000 a day.

Is anyone out there also using faucetbox?

no because signature campaign are vastly better, but faucets for newbie like you that can't afford account, nd maybe don't have a job, or a student can be good

if you can find someone that is willing to sell a bot it cna be better

A bot would not last long though if used a lot.  It would drain a lot of the hot wallet.   And chances are if there a bot being sold for a site they would buy a copy to fix the issue.

Most pay so little even if there was a bot, a lot would need to send capatcha to be done.... and the faucet pay's less then capatcha.  So for most part I don't see it as a bot able region as it pay's so little.

Faucets honestly are not worth a whole lot as a user, just to little pay.

Faucets ain't pointless at all, its just that it's not worth your time. There are some other ways to earn BTC like offering services (if you have any skills) and selling physical n digital stuffs. But if you can't do the said ways in the meantime, you can try another easy way to earn BTC. Try captcha typing, I prefer it over faucets as it has much higher rates compared to faucets, it needs some work though, but I know you can manage it since you have experiences on faucets Cheesy

Still it's mind numming work on typing capatcha. Your talking like the rates they advertise are normally for 10k capatcha's..... which is a heck of a lot of capatchas.

I would suggest finding other things with this time.  Learning something for example.  If you learned a service you could sell with that same time it wont pay during learning.  But after you learn it you will be getting a lot more money for your time.

Well still much better than faucets Cheesy OP's still a newbie and such micro jobs is better than nothing, let them solve captchas for now cuz eventually they will find more ways of earning bitcoin all by themselves Wink

It's still wasting time though.  The new person could study programming, or digital design, anything in this time and it would not pay much money at first.  But eventually they would be far better off then doing capatcha on that time.

I just hate for them to think they will get a good pay for that time.    They will not on faucet or capatchas.

Yes it is, but it still depend on a person. Some people find claiming on faucets and typing captchas fun(  I know some personally, especially bitcoin newbies). Basically having fun isn't a waste of time. And regarding to learning new stuffs, yes it is a good idea but then again,it depends, some people were not comfortable studying new stuffs online and some were not that passionate to study , in short , they're too lazy to study especially when they find it not fun.

It's not always all about earning, having fun is more important IMO. Thus, its still depends on the person so I respect your opinion Smiley

I was like you a few months ago. I only use 3 faucet daily, freebitco.in, Bitcoin Aliens and WeekendBitcoin. Today, I cut down to only just one*, WeekendBitcoin. Even so, I visit WeekendBitcoin when I am free only. Sometime, someday, I just forgot about faucet.

Weekendbitcoin is probably the best faucet right now cuz of their great promotions every weekend, I also don't use any faucets right now except that one. I am always stay tuned on their 10 million satoshis jackpot but so far never hit it , have you won that already?

Most pay in cents per hour which is not good at all.  And jackpots some advertise you will find very very few who ever win near them.   So I would do something else with time in most cases.

I still visit faucets sometimes, but i'm just down on 3 of them. Old habits die hard. Grin

Solving captcha in faucets is one of wasting time . I can suggest to you is to join in signiture campaign or renting your signiture to earn fast than in doing captcha every day... then i can suggest it too captcha data entry workby letyouearn.
Or if you have a special related online you can offer your skill here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.120

Do not use it to get a steady income... rather use it as a fun experiment... I have explained it in detail here --> http://www.bitbiz.io/threads/the-value-of-a-faucet-referral-network.689/#post-5760

There are people who followed my advice and through some hard work, are making some extra Satoshi's per week doing nothing at all through their referral network.  Grin

I donate almost all my Satoshi's received from faucets to charity... My angle to this.. Pay it forward. I dump some on lottery and the rest on charities ... And it's still fun.  Grin

If you use faucets paying to Xapo, you can accumulate enough Satoshi's to pay for all your transaction fees...  Grin

I've tried to gain substantial amounts of BTC from endless faucets but havent had any luck thus far...are they're any good ones out there to make a fast come up or is it all pointless?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, Im new!

Faucet only for beginner in bitcoin. But in other side, faucet also can earn you some income by gaining traffic through your ads.
So better you build a faucet rather than visit the faucet ( visit , captcha , earn => such a wasting your time )

What can you do with dust? You can move it around a bit but only above a certain amount and the fees will eat much of it anyway.

What is dust for you?
if you use xapo you have never dust
if you use faucetbox you have no dust if you want no dust.
if you get from winspiral's system you have over 10000 satoshi

Then please do not talk about specific dust to beginners.
Avoid dust, but it is not the worst that can happen you.

Pointless, pointless with a side order of pointless.

If you want coins and money is tight just sell some shite on Ebay and use the money to buy some. You'll get more than weeks of wasting your life in faucets.

Dont spend too much time on faucet. You said you are a long time faucet user and you should probably heard of FreeBitco.in and Bitcoin Aliens right? I use both of them from time to time and my favorite one would be (beside my own) WeekendBitcoin from Bitcoin Aliens team. Weekend Bitcoin payout is extremely high. I would like to suggest you to also look into my faucet, http://bitrevenues.com/. It is a unique faucet that share it revenue transparently. BitRevenues will be doing the first draw and giving out 0.05 BTC to it users next week. So dont miss your chance to win 0.01 BTC.

To be honest, the only people making good money with faucets are the faucet owners and faucet rotator operators. I've heard that owners get some good ad revenue, and faucet rotators obviously get money since they don't invest any money into their rotators. They're really just taking advantage of the peeps who enjoy wasting their time.
Faucets have some low profit margins AFAIK. A friend of mine ran a faucet for a few months. He said that he was unable to keep the faucet running since so many people were visiting that their ad revenue just wasn't enough to keep the faucet going.

No matter how many visitors you have in your faucet site if no one is clicking ads you will never generate any revenue because page impressions doesn't count.

Doesn't that depend on the type of ads? I don't know if a faucet can get ads that count page impressions, but maybe if the site had more than just the faucet, like a blog or something like that, it could be accepted. Has anyone tried that?

the best one are those that give you 5k-10k satoshi per hours, there are a few of those, but they require to resolve captcha every 5-10 mins  abit tedious

if you cna build  abot for those, that use 2captcha it would be ideal, it should be profitable with 1k satoshi per hour faucets, not anything less

Faucets is just wasting your time buddy. Your earning is very low, and you have to spend more energy and time. So is wasting your time.

But if you can have many referral it's a different story.

Hi there! Welcome to the forum. So here is where a bunch of faucets are listed > Micro Earnings board
Newbies though faucet would really be profitable but for all the veterans here, faucet is just a waste of time. If you think that you do get a lot from it tho, then maybe it's not at all.
Btw, as a newbie I also encourage you to sell your skills and get paid with bitcoins. There are tons of way youcan earn a bunch of coins. Just try to browse through the forum. Wink

It's all pointless. You will waste a ton of time on faucets and earn almost nothing.
exactly, better buy bitcoin for 1$... 10$... it will be much more reasonable than wasting time with faucets

Faucets is a waste of time. You'll get only $1 for solving few hundreds of captchas on faucets, which would take some hours to do it.
However if you wait and join signature campaigns, you'll get a lot more (but you'll need to wait months for your account to level up). I'm earning 100000 satoshis for making a post now.
Edit: Just found that you have negative trust... You may join the yobit campaign when you reached Jr. Member, however they pay much less.

The post above has already explained and gave you a right answer. I would just like to add that faucets are not meant for earning. They are meant to be here so that new people can get themselves familiar with Bitcoin and sending Bitcoin transactions.

So an ordinary user can't gain much from faucets. But you will lose a ton of time.
