OP, you are going to be disappointed when i tell you that they offer those 250 satoshi only once.

That's what you get daily:

Bitcoin: 0.00000001 BTC
FeatherCoin: 0.00002419 FTC
Litecoin: 0.00000030 LTC

I like faucets because I don't have the techie know how at the moment or equipment to mine and also I have gotten many new friends into cryptos..I have a whole list I go through daily and it all ads up. Also I remember when the sexcoin faucet was up and sexcoins when to 20 cents..I made 200 bucks JUST FROM SEXCOINS FROM THAT FAUCET..  Grin Grin You just don't know what coin will take off..It's like penny stocks..my advice hatch what you can and then diversify, invest and mine or mine or invest..Either way don't get left behind.. Grin Now I collect 1k fcks an hour. You never know if fcks get to 1 cent each I could be fcking rich lol... Roll Eyes Grin

Friendly reminder that the original bitcoin faucet used to give out 5 BTC and, at the time, they were just as worthless as the values you're posting now.

How often could you use the original bitcoin faucet? Was it once a day, once an hour, or something else?

Youre getting free coins and youre still complaining?  Undecided No I'm not getting free coins, technically no one is. No one will ever earn 1BTC from a faucet in their life time if they were to get coins every day for the rest of their life. In fact it would take a family 11 generations to earn 1 bitcoin.

It might not be the most efficient way of getting new coins. Understatement Much?

For someone how is just beginning to know cryptocurrencies its a great way to get started. You dont need to invest any money to try the system out. Just download the client, click the link and get free coins.

What are you talking about?  Huh

Anyways, Sure faucest are good for introducing people to coins and that's about the only thing they are good for. Personally I don't have a 1,000 years to wait.

you do realize that it todays values, faucets were paying out dollars worth of BTC not long ago... it that trend continues, we could all very well be looking back in a year or two and see that the 250 satoshis were quite a valuable amount

To boldly go where no rabbit has gone before...
Faucets aren't suposed to replace mining, instead they offer a small amount, enough to get you interested.

They strenghten the coin community and introduce new members to it.

I started with btc faucets, then went to mining, and now i gathered enough knowledge that i can make an altcoin myself and launch it.

Nice one BitCoinPokerBro. What do you think, how much would be ok for a faucet? I'd say, up to 20 cents. If you want new users to 'try the system' they would go for alts with those cents. 'Penny alts' would be more popular that way.

Hazard, you don't write reviews anymore? Why? Really enjoyed those..

it's very inefficient for anyone with any kind of paying job. My job would be far more cost effective than using these faucets which pay a few cents each. Never use them. Plus they clutter up the blockchain with useless transactions.

If the Bitcoin moonmen bagholders are right, faucets aren't a waste of time b/c in a few years those drips will be worth serious bank. (1Btc = many thousands of dollars.)

To da moon!

that's why faucets are made in the first place. Your not supposed to get rich on nothing but handouts. Roll Eyes
They're nothing but an introduction to the coin. If you want to make money, go do some work mining and investing.

So, I got out of bet this morning, brewed a cup of coffee, and started the pc to browse BCT. (as is my usual morning ritual)

In one of the threads someone had an affiliate link to a faucet of some sort. We've all seen these before. A sight with advertisements (which they are paid for) paying a small fraction of bitcoin, litecoin, or altcoin to each visitor.

This particular site offered

0.00000250 Bitcoins, 0.00007671 Litecoins and 0.00604838 FeatherCoins

Three different coins for visiting one site sweet deal right? Wrong!

Here's why

It would take the average person without referrals

400,000 days to earn 1 bitcoin (1,096 years)

13,000 days to earn 1 litecoin (35 years)

166 days to earn 1 feather coin

These numbers are rounded down to the nearest 100,000, 10,000, and 1 days respectively. In each case it would take more years than it's worth in dollar equivalent.

Maybe it would be worth it if there was a site that could automatically direct you to 1,000 different faucets each day. Even then it would take so long to fill everything out it probably wouldn't be worth the time spent.

Paid to Click services like neobux pay $0.01 each click offering from 4-25 clicks a day. There are tons of sites like neobux with payouts per 5-30 second click from $0.01-$0.001 all of which are a better bet than bitcoin/altcoin faucets when compared the time spent completing the task BTC/hour.

Doesn't seem so awesome anymore does it?
