Good news, everyone!  Ubuntu is releasing a mobile OS.  So if you've been saying "fuck windows" and "fuck apple" for some time now, I believe you'll be pleasantly surprised a completely open mobile OS is around the corner.  Joy.

Didn't know FB was trying to release a phone.  Hasn't everyone moved onto tumblr and twitter and whatever by now?

Face Book just announced Android phone looks nice, but there wasn't much info specs other than their invention of the personalized "Home Screen".

Being a Droid phone, Do anybody know if there is some source code or other bit 'n' pieces on Github or elsewhere?

what we are looking are implementation of Bitcoin in any way. Could be a currency app with a ticker for BTC, a mobile wallet, QR code address reader or maybe just some API for handling BTC for other software?

If they have fooled around with the idea of implementing Bitcoin, while developing the Phone, traces will exist around the net in source snippets, that is if they are adhering to their open source obligations.

Facebook is the Devil. Facebook wants to know everyTHING about everyBODY.

Why oh WHY would you give them access to your phone? And if you think they won't be eavesdropping and keylogging every single thing you do, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you...

They don't have any "open source obligations", most of the android code is under the Apache Licence, which ISN'T a copyleft licence. They can but don't have to release anything except for the kernel sources (as the Kernel is GPL'd).
