FBI acting on behalf of crooked Democrats shocker. This really does not surprise me one bit, they just can’t take it can they. If they’re not cheating, they’re crying about taking an L. I really can’t wait for Trump to be back, it’s been a rotten four years.
Democrats are just bad losers who cannot take their loss in good fate. If Kamala Harris had won the election, this raid wouldn't have happened. Instead of accepting their defeat, they are busy looking for excuses. A sensible party would have identified where they failed and begun to plan how to recover what they had lost. They have less than two months to witchhunt perceived enemies so I doubt if they can get anything out of this needless attack. Even if they place criminal charges on Polymarket or its CEO Shayne Coplan, Trump will certainly overturn it.

The hidden point is, the guy can sue for the way that they went about it. He should sue all the FBI people directly involved in the raid, plus whoever gave the order, plus the FBI director for not controlling his people. Done the right way, he could come out of this a multi-millionaire.

It would be funny to see how many lawyers out there would be willing to try to join that guy onto trying to sue the federal government. Also, I am not from the USA, but from recalling some cases which happened previously in that country (specially people trying to sue public highschools), it would seem it is only possible to sue and take the federal government to court, unless they agreed on being sued by a private citizen.
Anyways, it is very unlikely that man is thinking too much about money right now and probably just want the FBI to dismiss his case and to be left alone with a slap on the wrist.

You seemed to miss one little part of what I posted: "Done the right way." Standard attorney methods won't or might not work. What will work is standing unrepresented in court, with attorneys a co-counsel (as opposed to being a client of the attorneys), and a whole bunch of witnesses in the 'pews' who will be ready to sue the court with "fraud upon the court" and/or "fraud upon the court by the court."

Polymarket is alledgedly being investigated because they did not have a proper license to carter or offer their services to people from the United States (only to foreigners) and it seems there was a lot of people from the USA which used a VPN to trespass the restrictions and bet on the past election. If there is anything political about it I doubt the so called deep state or the President Biden would hold a personal grudge against a relatively small webpage, when there are bigger players and bookies out there which could be equally targeted as well.
Good thing you talked about the timing. Why didn't they look at the licensing thing before the election outcomes?
Right now, we have exchanges that allow US citizens to trade derivatives with no proper regulation and licensing, but we don't see FBI going after them.

Perphaps the FBI was busy trying to investigate other things related to the election, hunting down Russian trolls and bots or going after those three people who were plotting to literally assassinate Trump, now the election is over they have shifted their priorities back to the "normal". Anyways, the timing is specially suspicious, I can give you that, but that does not mean polymarket is not supposed to be get accountable for not having mechanisms to prevent USA residents and citizens from placing bets on their website.
Ironically, there are people as well suggesting the timing of the investigations against Trump was pretty much unfortunate, as he was supposed to be prosecuted way before he showed intentions to run for the presidency for a second time.

When are people going to realize the usefulness, and start benefiting themselves, of PMA's (Private Membership Association)? With a PMA in place, it makes things a private club, and government has no authority over private clubs. The Southern States are full of lawful drinking and smoking clubs, to say nothing about nudist camps, which are totally against State legal law in some cases. These are private, government hands-off, PMA's. Setting a simple one up is easy as can be. You can find wording examples of lawful PMA's if you do a simple search. Or you can go for a complex PMA with the people who found the legal method - https://www.proadvocate.org/.

Why is anyone surprised, anyway? hehehe.
Politicians being Politicians. In most cases, very few of them do not end up as bad losers. But I believe all they tried to do will be in vain. It's such a shame that such things still happen in the so-called land of freedom, like the US

This is a licensing problem and a problem of a company not having the right papers for the business they are participating in.

Anyways, I must admit the timing is rather suspicious. The FBI could perfectly have taken these actions before the election and not after.

The Biden administration and the Deep State aren't done yet, just because Trump won.

FBI seizes Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan's phone and computer after he predicted Trump win

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14079677/FBI-seizes-Polymarket-CEO-Shayne-Coplans-phone-Predicted-trump-win.html
Shayne Coplan, 26, was targeted at his Soho home during a dawn raid on Wednesday, sources told the New York Post.

The insider blasted the seizure as 'grand political theater at its worst'.

'They could have asked his lawyer for any of these things. Instead, they staged a so-called raid so they can leak it to the media and use it for obvious political reasons,' the source said.

Coplan was reportedly not arrested or given a reason for the raid, but it is thought to be linked to his accurate predictions which outsmarted traditional polls.

'This is obvious political retribution by the outgoing administration against Polymarket for providing a market that correctly called the 2024 presidential election,' the source added.

Polymarket signaled for weeks that Trump would win, and the previously low-profile site turned out to be right - despite raising eyebrows of many experts.

Coplan said in a post on X after the results were announced: 'Make no mistake, Polymarket single-handedly called the election before anything else. The global truth machine is here, powered by the people.'

In a statement to the New York Post, Polymarket said it is a 'fully transparent prediction market'.

'We charge no fees, take no trading positions, and allow observers from around the world to analyze all market data as a public good.'

Coplan has - until now - stayed out of the limelight.

But after his site - which invited users to bet money on a given outcome - managed to foreshadow the results of the November 5 US election, he has been the subject of praise from Elon Musk and American statistician Nate Silver.

Silver - one of many experts to predict the election would be extremely close - was so impressed that he joined the company as an adviser.
