Here's the secret to finding the holy grail of digital currency investment.

First realize that before Google, there was a search engine called AltaVista that dominated the space. It makes sense that other digital currencies will emerge to compete with and eventually surpass bitcoin in terms of popularity. Look at bitcoin as a blue chip rather than a growth stock. Now start researching to find the alt coins with the best chance to compete with bitcoin. Then pick two or three and invest small amounts in each one. This is why pre-orders are such scams. So many people buying hardware when they can't realistically determine ROI (and generally when they get it, it will not pay for itself barring a new bubble). This BTC economy is fucked up.

Ditto this. I highly advise against most/all pre-orders on general principle. ROI is a huge gamble. And many of these companies are just shady, too...

You better off mining script coins like litecoin, ftc and other alt coins the difficulty will not rise as much compared to bitcoin.
