Yeah, this isn't an Electrum issue. Fees for the network are just high in general due to congestion. People are hoping that segwit will help lower them but we'll have to see what happens.

Electrum dynamic fees are accurate especially if you set the fee slider to high. It does not make sense to go cheap on fees. However newest Electrum lets you set fee to whatever you want if you disable dynamic fees, and if you enable RBF you can send replaceable, so when a transaction does not confirm because you used too low a fee you can click on it and bump the fee up. Less hassle if you just use the recommended fee in the first place.

If you set the max static fee to 0.0001 BTC/kB, uncheck Use dynamic fees, uncheck Edit fees manually & change this bit of the code in a text editor https://github.com/TheButterZone/electrum/commit/fca33e290015b475463481fc9b6626489aad5495 then you can submit your TXIDs to https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ at exactly xx:00:00 (any later and it will probably reject you).

"With the Transaction Accelerator for delayed transactions, you can submit any TXID that includes a minimum fee of 0.0001BTC/KB. "

i have stopped using elctrum atm, fee too high and if low fee unconfirmed for a long time
That has nothing to do with electrum, it's how fees are at the moment. You can use another wallet and end up with similar results (delay in confirmations, when a low fee is being used).

Appropriate fees (an estimate): http://bitcoinfees.21.co/#fees
