This is an interesting idea, would you be delivering coins to ANACS in person and picking them up in person meaning the only shipping would be to/from the customer?
Yes. That is exactly what I did for the Denarium order because we save like $30 in shipping. That's like the only reason I was thinking about this after minerjones mentioned it to me.

I barely trust ANACS to handle my coins.  No way I would consider adding a middleman for any amount of savings.
I would not blame you OG. If you really think about it say you have 50 $50 coins, that adds up fast.

I was just curious to see what the response would be.

I have people contact me all of the time for this...I will send them your way. I guess the real selling point would be getting coins graded and paying BTC to do it.

Honestly, it is way too much risk for too little reward. I almost started a service like this, but then realized it was not worth it. You would be saving someone $7 per coin but taking massive risk if a package gets lost.

FYI: Any order of 30 or more coins is $12 per. If you submit over 100 then they will do lower rates (likely $9 per).

JUST MY OPINION.....cheaper prices for bulk grading...just doesn't sit will with me...Starting to sound like a Coin Slabbing Mill... Not a true Coins mint state grade viewed by a panal of professionals...

Every grading place offers discounts for bulk grading. I am sure for them doing several large orders is more efficient than doing tons of small orders.

Probably would throw in a clause to cover myself incase something like that happens. Just because shipping and such, if you want to risk it you can...
Now looking at this from my perspective I would be charging $15 per coin, plus whatever shipping is depending on the level of security the customer wants.

Yes. I like this idea. My problem with ANACS is they send stuff back via Fedex restricted delivery, so I can't always be around to sign for it, and then the closest Fedex depot is like 50 miles away if I miss them.  Roll Eyes

I understand and appreciate that level of security, however sometimes it makes life a bit challenging when you also have a busy life outside of bitcoins too. Tongue

One other thing that I always trouble with is what to have them put on the slabs for different coins etc. Always afraid I would put the wrong bits or version number or spelling etc. Another set of eyes on that pesky form would be cool, especially one with more experience with different coins. I literally have a few microsouls that I don't even know what to put down as, I guess I will have to google around or contact gravitate lol.

I have unofficially done this for a little while for some of the EU collectors, and a few further afield as well. It seems to work for all concerned. Definitely helps share the costs around.

Probably worth offering imaging as well for those who want it.

I have a couple I'd be interested in including. I'm based in UK though; any estimates on costs would be appreciated!

In regards to the poll, If you do vote a certain way please give me some sort of feedback to help me.

Minerjones originally suggested this idea to me. I just wanted to see how many people would be interested or not interested.

I talked to their one representative at ANACs today after dropping off some coins about what rates I could be given for large amounts of coins. I threw a number of 50 coins out there and his response was the coins would be charged at $12 a coin for grading.

Now looking at this from my perspective I would be charging $15 per coin, plus whatever shipping is depending on the level of security the customer wants.
USPS Flat rate small boxes for the US is $6.80, medium is #13.75. Shipping from ANACs is anywhere from $21-116 dollars depending on how much the coins are and how many coins you have.

Price Breakdown: $15
$12 for grading
$1 to rent out a P.O. Box for more secure receiving and shipping
$2 for running this service and for driving back and forth from ANACs
Optional:
$3 for imaging

Just pitching this idea as it could be beneficial to people overseas that might want to grade their coins. I believe ANACs is the only one to grade cryptocurrency, although I have seen some other companies with coins.

TLDR: Coin grading for cheaper if we send as a community. Please give feedback.
