I don't feel super-rich or even superior. I just hope I'm doing my bit to help shape the forum for the future.
I'm yet trying to use it well, but every time I give out a merit I can't help but feel super rich. It's like one owns a sack full of money and you're distributing to the needed (no offence). I'm sure many of us are experiencing this crazy feeling,it does makes you feel wonderful doesn't it? Suddenly this merit system feels even cooler than it is enjoying it, what about others
I don’t know how I feel about it if anything at all. I just like to show my appreciation to good posts & reward people somewhat for taking the time & effort to post well.

I don't feel very special to give someone smerits.Because I got only couple smerits.But I feel wonderful when someone give me merits.When I get some merits I feel really good and think that my post is capable of getting merits.Actually, it's inspired me to make more good quality posts and contribute on the forum.
And I also agree with you, the new merit system is really cool and i think it's a wise decision from thymos.
