How close the UIDs are caught my eye and the rest is obvious..

My suggestion is that we need to stop meriting the bounty threads for example :[OPEN] ⚡BQT Signature Campaign | Member - Hero | 0.0007 BTC /Post ⚡ this thread's first post got 9 merits and inbetween useless posts got lot of merits,so disable merits in those section as well.

BTW he didn't earn 2000 merits,he just earned more than 1000 merits since he already got 1000  airdropped merits when the merit system implemented,but there is no doubt that he will earn 2000 merits as well in near future.

During September 2018, cases of a single post being merited by a single user with > 20 sMerits are:
Fishy or not, the number of cases seems small for adding a rule of a per thread+sender basis.

In terms of badges, the cases you mention are rather rare and scarce yet. Airdropped Merit and awarded merit could be added together or not towards them. It would be a small perk, but take away the top 100 sMerited people, and the playing field is on another level really for the vast majority.

There is no doubts that merit system working fine. Especially for spam prevention & motivate peoples for write high quality post. I have realized that few members trying to write good & quality post after implement Enhanced newbie restrictions & requirements. Although few corrupted members are abusing the system, but I want to say overall we got a good result from merit system.

I would like to share few concern about merit system, perhaps it could helps merit system to build more decent & fair (IMO). Although few of them are discussed previously, I just want to remind with short description.

Merit limit per post:
On current merit system, a member can send maximum 50 merit to single user monthly. It's fine, but on current system there is no send limit per post. Anyone can send 50 merit only single post. This is the good opportunity for merit abuser. Although a decent post could deserve more than 50 merit but I think it should not be from single person. Multiple member could send merit on single thread. Really I think it's too high amount from single user for a post. In my opinion, merit limit should be decrease for single post from a person. Perhaps maximum 25 per post will be fine. It's just my idea, admin can adjust on his own opinion. But I strongly believe there should be merit limit per post. So merit abuse can be reduce & merit distribution will more wide.

Although abuser can abuse by send merit on other post, but it can be identify simply that they are abusing merit. I have experience some one send 20  merit by 2 times (10x2) on bounty thread and someone open thread on reputation. That post really never deserve 20 merit. But they make excuse that "I just want send 10 merit but by mistake I send 20 merit. During sending time I refresh the page". If implement merit limit on per post than abuser will never able to make this kind of excuse.

Just for example, a post are merited with 50 merit; Google translation: "If you are not crazy, Trump must be crazy"
Do you think this post really deserve 50 merit ? Sender are not deserve red tag? That's the reason I expect merit limit per post.

Note: I do not mean limit for merit receiver. Receiver can receive unlimited from specific user on single post.


Disable merit option on Announcements (Altcoins) & Bounty board:
Before start discussion I would like to give an example, a post received 50 merit on ANN reply:

Do you agree that post deserve 50 merit especially on ANN relpy? I am not agree that ANN and Bounty post are deserve 50 merit. Especially on bounty thread couldn't count as high quality post (IMO). So spending high merit such as board really abuse of merit. Disable merit option from this two board will prevent merit abuse. You can see more this kind of abuse here


Allow DT to handle merit abuser:
As far as I know, admin isn't much encourage to leave negative feedback to merit abuser. But in my opinion admin should allow DT to handle merit abuser by trust system since merit are not moderate by forum. I believe DT are experienced to determine who is the real merit abuser. That's why they are Default Trusted position. Lot of merit abuser accusation on reputation board. But very low abuser got tagged. For example here is multiple merit abuser , but no yet tagged for merit abuse. Even a newbie will consider that is a merit abuse.


Additional badge & feature for higher merit earner :
On current system 1000 merits enough for become a Legendary member. And it's look fine for me. But here is few good contributor earned more than 2000 merits. Just for example; LoyceV is the one of good contributor and he has earned more than 2000 1000 merit and 1000 merit got  by initial. As well as there is no higher rank more than Legendary. Obviously forum need such as contributor. For appreciation, there should be additional badge and few extra feature who have earned more than 2000 merits & more than 4000 merits. Like signature, avatar, clickable personal text etc. On addition, additional title will be more appreciated, like now anyone can buy Copper membership. In my opinion there should few additional membership for higher merit earner. So that they will more encourage to contribute good things. Personally I think Gold & Diamond membership will appropriate.
Example:
2000 merit= Gold Member
4000 merit= Diamond member
It's only my opinion, may be admin could consider others similar title.
