They call it bitcoin mining but it's really just altcoin mining and conversion to btc, that got me confused
Don't be confused, BTC mining is also converted to Alts

i'm building a rig for the first time. I have 3 1080's and 3 1070 ti's, how do I figure out what I need as far as a power supply? I have an EVGA GOLD 1000W on the way. Also, does it make a difference if I will be hooking up to 240?

1000PSU will run however you might underclock your settings, 1080 will draw 180-200w of power while 1070ti 130-140w and you could have 900w plus at the minimum plus your systems power draw.
It has 8x8 6+2 pin connectors, you will need 3 for the 1070s and 6 for the 1080s i believe
