Hey there,

You need to post this in the alt coin section. This is just for bitcoin hardware; and you can't mine bitcoin with gpu

They call it bitcoin mining but it's really just altcoin mining and conversion to btc, that got me confused Cheesy

Don't be confused, BTC mining is also converted to Alts Grin

Its just a one way or another

Hey guys,
i'm building a rig for the first time. I have 3 1080's and 3 1070 ti's, how do I figure out what I need as far as a power supply? I have an EVGA GOLD 1000W on the way. Also, does it make a difference if I will be hooking up to 240?
thanks

1000PSU will run however you might underclock your settings, 1080 will draw 180-200w of power while 1070ti 130-140w and you could have 900w plus at the minimum plus your systems power draw.

I don't have the stock numbers but my 1070's did 150-155W overclocked and I belive my 1080ti did 160W oc
Note that these numbers are on solo eth mining
That makes a total of about 850W for all 6 cards at max, your biggest issue will be the power connectors.
I think I have the same psu on the way Smiley It has 8x8 6+2 pin connectors, you will need 3 for the 1070s and 6 for the 1080s i believe

Also remember to not connect more than two risers to one sata cable, if you can don't use them at all. Three 1070s will get hot, two rx 570 will burn down your house Undecided

Whopsi i made a bummer to Embarrassed
