instead, I'm using a premium transformer oil called Shell Diala, it is not great but does the job and is cheap. I'm using around 40L for this setup.

Please feel free to ask any more questions!
Good choice of fluid, we've used it for over 50 years as a coolant for industrial lasers. The main thing to be aware of is that Diala WILL very quickly cause all rubber and pvc parts to become very hard and brittle - esp the jackets of the cords & cables.

edit: Oh, regarding pumping Diala and similar oils...
As mentioned earlier the fluids attack most normally flexible materials. If your pump has shaft seals they WILL harden and along with that Diala has near-zero lubrication properties so the seals will wear faster. Put those together and the pump will start to leak in 2-3 years. You need to use a magnetic-coupled pump that has no shaft seals: The pump housing is sealed and spinning magnets on the motor shaft couple to ones inside the pump housing to drive the impeller.

Plus Diala is engineered to penetrate into materials and move through very very thin gaps. That means you need make sure all plumbing connections are well sealed using a paste-type of plumbing sealant or they will start to drip... Using Teflon tape just does not reliably work.

Nice set up, can you post cost estimates for everything except the miner, did you DIY anything yourself or everything was bought as is?

How did you bypass the fan check? Are you using a fan simulator to bypass fan check? Or are you using a custom/modified firmware like Braiins OS/ASIC.to firmware?
The dashboard from your image is a bit different from the original firmware.

Do you have any physical image of this unit I just want to check how do you manage to work immersed with s19j pro or did you just directly put/submerge the entire miner into mineral oil?

Hi Max!
I don't like fan simulators, I flashed a custom firmware (asic.to) It's great and has an immersion option, once you activate it all fans show 0 RPM and get spoofed.

Here's mysetup: https://imgur.com/a/s7cisIU when the T17 was immersed. It's the same, except for a better pump.

I removed all the fans and dunk the entire unit in a tank I had previously designed specifically for an S19-size rig. I don't use mineral oil (compatibility issues and high viscosity). A perfect liquid would be Bitcool, but is too expensive and shipping costs more than the liquid itself. instead, I'm using a premium transformer oil called Shell Diala, it is not great but does the job and is cheap. I'm using around 40L for this setup.

After 6 months of learning about immersion and trying out an S9 and T17. I have finally got an S19J PRO 100T immersed. Slightly overclocked to 105T, with chip temps 65-75C and board 50-60C.

Tell me what you think!
