I believe Dash provides rewards for running masternodes, otherwise supporting a decentralized network should be enough of a reward😀

I'm not a dash guy however, I love the litecoin but also support NXTs vision.

I read that Bitcoin has node incentive problems, meaning people don't get rewarded for running a node... are there any good coins out there that have solved that problem in a simple jet effective manner?

Vcash has node incentives and other features like ZeroTime for near instant txs and Chainblender for fungibility.

You should look into NXT and Ardor basically NXT 2.0 . NXT has a really good community and offers a lot of features that other alt coins simply don't

There are many altcoins out there however not everyone of them have good stats right now. Altcoin with good and active dev team with enough fund to promote their services overseas get good attention worldwide while other fails.

But security in network is also very critical for popularity and trust. Just read about recent DAO hack and how that have effected ETH market.

Yea, I read about the DAO hack.
It really wasn't a hack, the contract simply wasn't waterproof.
But thats often a problem with new languages like Solidity.

i am going to make an altcoin today.. i have time at lunch & after school !
So what language do i need to learn to code ?

It will be a block-chain related clone of Bitcoin so suggestions ?
Tell me how to do it everyone..

If i tack a block-chain onto something that means it's currency altcoin right ?
Wish me luck my ICO needs to have a million dollars to "ensure it's a success"

And i am newb here and figured my comment would be better HERE in Alt/Main
than that posting a "hello, i am new here" topic in the beginner section.

Depends on your Interest.

If Anon is at the top of your list then Dash, Monero, NAV, & Supercoin

If your Interest is running coins as Economically as Possible and avoiding ASIC Mining and the Centralization , that it brings.
Then ZEIT, MINT, NOBLE, TEK, & Hobonickel

I would recommend you : Ethereum, Dash, Monero and Waves. That's for me the most interesting ones. Each of them has a really new tech technology that might make the difference. However, none will ever surpass Bitcoin, that is sure.

Hey guys, been lurking inactively here for a couple of years and finally decided to start something blockchain related.
I see there are a lot of alternative "bitcoin" coins being developed.
I have read the Bitcoin white paper and understand the basics and the code pretty well.

What are the most interesting alternatives "Bitcoin" coins currently out there and worth studying?

Hope you can point me in a few interesting directions.

Regards,

Jason

Making alter native for bitcoin is a good idea to study its worth it if you have a knowledge developing your own altcoin..
But if you those knowledge don't start your own promises because they dont want any promises without doing it well..
