Police are just criminals with a badge. They are no better or worse than the criminals they catch but obviously there are bad apples in every barrel.

They made him hand in his badge and firearms during investigation.
While that in itself is a victory, conviction on murder charges would be the real thing.
But I guess he has his support base, and we will have to wait for it to happen.

dude was already stripped of his badge, that's a victory in itself. cops usually defend their own even when wrong. the fact that they didn't give him suspension or desk duty and straight fired him suggests the department knows it's at fault and is trying to distance itself from this officer. apparently it's illegal in NY to use a choke hold to restrain citizens. everybody is hearing about police abusing or even killing people. too much bad publicity. this guy is fucked. i bet you almost every police department in the country knows about this and is watching closely.
Wait till they are convicted and sentenced.
