Replying to old tweets: It's a joke on Twitter after a tweet became viral years ago. Nowadays, it's also a trick used by some community managers on Twitter to make fun with their community, and considering the latest rumor with BTC/Paypal it was the right time to tweet it.

Yes, and it you look at that supposedly twitter Paypal support account, it suddenly awaken from deep slumber and start replying again, very clever trick and it coincide with Paypal/Venmo rolling out their plans to "support" bitcoin.

Actually Bitcoin has its "chargeback" which is the confirmation.
A newbie might not realize every TX requires that, and the wait times are longer if the amounts are larger.

Where did you get that idea from?
There are no chargebacks in BTC, if you accept zero-confirmation transactions it's like you're accepting a promise someone will mail you 100 $. When do you send him the merchandise, when he tells you he I sending the money or when you have confirmation that you received it?

With PayPal, you can get a chargeback even weeks after you have received the money and already spend it, their system has a habit of creating ridiculous situations, nothing like this is possible with BTC

Just want to reach into this kind of input having that chargeback in BTC? Lol! Grin This dude doesnt even know on what confirmation is.
A newbie might not realize about TX? waiting times or confirmation time doesnt rely if the amount are larget. It all matters with network congestion and
the fee that you had set up to push such tx. I dont know where the hell he do get these words.

Creative community manager I would say
I do have the same view. Trying to hype things up even more by doing this simple response for a tweet that had been 9 years ago.

PayPal users now you would appreciate the immutability of bitcoin (that means no chargeback at all) a lot specially if you were a merchant.

As always, two sides of the story.
Merchants hate chargebacks, customers love them.

Just like the 15 days no question return and refund policy for online purchases in the EU, merchants hate it as there are thousands of gaming it, buying smartphones, laptops for a week, and then returning them, or in some cases even clothes for a weekend. I have a friend who lives right in front of the superstore where he usually shops, he always buys online instead of picking them from across the street so he could return them in 14 days.

Even in their own community, you will hear a lot of complaints, https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/PayPal-Community/ct-p/en

And this just make a good point on bitcoin, we argue that Paypal is not a competition, however, every payment services are being threaten now, it's either they improved their services or go obsolete and people might move to bitcoin or crypto in general as viable options in the future.

Classic PayPal. Reminds me of this old but gold video of a user losing his funds to some random reasoning.
