The scale of investment has increased dramatically, since last year. Most countries are starting to invest in the "Blockchain technology"

I predict within the next year, we will see a big competition coming from one of the Alt coins. { It would be backed by huge corporations and people will follow like sheep to the slaughter }

Bitcoin as a currency, will have market dominance for 2 more years and then it will be replaced by a more acceptable government knockoff / copycat coin. {The use of this coin, would be forced with strong legislation, to make sure it replace Bitcoin} This will start in the USA and grow from there.

Mark my words. {We will come back to this post, within 2 years}

nothing new here as they have been saying that they are looking into the blockchain technology with great interest before. i'm sure we'll see them using it within 10 years from now.

LOL, you beat me to it. This is old news just being recycled.
There are many such kinds of news, such as some companies adopt bitcoin payment, some financial instituations are investigating the bitcoin technology, some finanical or political elites are joining bitcoin related startups. As bitcoin develop, they become normal.

Yes I agree, but still its the same news over and over. Everything you just said has been said to death over the last few years.

It may be the same news over and over again, but it seems to me that the news is beginning to come from larger outlets and is reaching more people.  The more the average person gets used to the idea of bitcoin and cryptos, the more comfortable they will feel adopting it into their lives.

...Anyone feeling threatened that big companies are starting to pay attention?

Maybe the small companies that did not put any interest on Bitcoin yet? Unless you pay attention you will never notice anything. No matter big or small.

Your country may be your worst enemy
The funny part of the article is when they say the business community doesn't like BTC's volatility. Actually, traders love volatility. Hey, they would have no work if there was no volatility in the markets.

The question is, will they really add value to Bitcoin? I doubt it

i think not, even nasdaq is asking to themselves question like this

while they want still to support bitcoin and not only the tech behind it

Why would anyone feel threatened? These companies getting involved is inevitable if bitcoin is to succeed or go mainstream. It's the same with regulation. Whether we like it or not bitcoin is going to grow bigger than just us so there's no point trying to fight it but embrace it instead as it's only going to be a positive thing for bitcoin and promote it further.

Not really. It meant happen sooner or later, of course big fishes are gonna look at bitcoin and its phenomena. There is nothing we can do about to prevent  or stop it. There is also no need to.
If big companies are gonna create something new based of blockchain technology then it's good for us. If this will be good invention people are gonna vote with theirs wallets anyway.

I don't feel threatened but I hope that we have some more time to accumulate before it all goes nuts again.  You never can tell but with all of these news stories bitoin is slowly becoming a should name.  With the international nature of our economy it is only a matter of time until it get s wider adoption.

The technological innovation behind bitcoin (: BTC=) has the potential to empower the existing financial world, not just disrupt banks out of existence as some have foretold, according to a former Wall Street exec.

"The blockchain is the financial challenge of our time," said Blythe Masters, CEO of Digital Asset Holdings, onTuesday at the Exponential Finance Conference hosted by CNBC and Singularity University. "It is going to change the way that our financial world operates."

Arguing that bitcoin's underlying technology has the opportunity to improve settlement latency and system security for firms, Masters said the market for financial blockchain applications will ultimately be "measured in the trillions."
