I don't think another forum is needed. There is nothing to be gained from spreading the current user base among multiple sites with different agendas.

I don't think so we need more forums that can spread the knowledge and the technology behind Cryptocurrency, if we want more people coming in this industry we need to build more community, we need to build more network, each forum can work to support each other and be decentralized, we have so many coins in the market and each has it's own function and roadmap and so are forums and community.

Stand to be corrected why do we think it may not be necessary as time to come as many will likely join  or engage on the forum for knowledge beside there is no specific limit to which the forum need accommodate, as to limit what will be necessary for more expansion as it may bring into the system more people. Is the consideration not necessary to enable the passage of information and more spread.

The Concierge of Crypto
--and it was the first bitcoin discussion forum as well (if I'm not mistaken).

There was, as this is the "new" bitcoin forum. I think the old one was on sourceforge, but it was really old and had little posts. Not counting the mailing list, but then that's not a forum.

What makes this forum unique?

Her reputation is what makes Bitcointalk unique. Numerous alternative lookalike forums (don't feel like mentioning names) have be created over the years but none have been able to achieve Bitcointalk success due to the fact Bitcointalk was develop with the intention of providing a forum for bitcoin (cryptocurrency) users to discuss and associate but the newly founded forum were just created to make profit.

Over the years Bitcointalk has house well known game changers in the cryptispace from Satoshi himself to Vitalik , Roger Ver (even though people hate him now) etc. Bitcointalk reputation is what have kept Bitcointalk for 10years and it's still the most popular bitcoin forum without having to carryout online advertisement.

Bitcoin (cryptocurrency) won't have been a success without the contribution of Bitcointalk. Here's why The most iconic bitcointalk threads. History on Bitcointalk..

What changes would you like to see in this forum to make a space for the stream of newbies coming into crypto space?

Be a little less strict towards them. I Believe the forum is losing it's friendliness towards newbies. From history the early forum users always welcome new members and assist in any means they could but this days every newbie is seen as a scammer/spammer untill proven otherwise. I believe the newbies are the future of this forum just as most early user have stopped using forum that's how the current user will stop and we need the newbies to take over. This newbies what they lack is direction and forum should always try her best to accommodate them.

What makes this forum unique?
This thread is over a month old and got no responses until today.  Strange.

I'm just going to answer the above question by stating the obvious:  signature campaigns and bounties.  There have been other forums started around ICOs and such, and they've failed because they recruited shitposters from bitcointalk who expect to get paid to post.  The most unique thing about BCT is that you can use your signature space for advertising, and that's drawn a LOT of people to the forum.  I don't think any other discussion forum has anything like what bitcointalk has.

The other unique (and extremely important) feature of BCT is that Satoshi was one of the founders of it, and since his posts here still exist, there's an enormous piece of bitcoin history still available for everyone to read--and it was the first bitcoin discussion forum as well (if I'm not mistaken).

But with more interest in crypto use, do you think there should be an alternate forum?
Ah, the insomnia is in full force so I'll give an answer to this, too.  No, I think bitcointalk is enough of a forum for anyone who wants to discuss bitcoin.  There are other boards for altcoins like Dash, and I think there are more for some of the bigger altcoins, too, but as far as bitcoin goes....we don't need another discussion forum, nor would another one be as successful as this one if it didn't have signature campaigns.  It's a somewhat sad fact, but it's true.
