"Fire and Ice" was the theme of my senior prom in '78 (19, not 18, so don't even think about going there).
Fire and Ice (a Central Planners Lament, with apologizes to Robert Frost)
Some say the world will end in inflation,
Some say in deflation.
From what I've tasted of consumption
I hold with those who favor inflation.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of insolvency
To say that for destruction deflation
Is also great
And would suffice.
