My first attempt of daytrade was like this:
"Ok, let's try daytrading with one coin bought at ~$80"
"I think market will go up. Alright it did! *sold at ~$90*"
Then I did this one more time when I was sure it will go up again, worked fine, but then I realized that while I was making money in fiat - I was losing it in Bitcoints.

hehe, that's the bad thing of day trading, you're often short in one of them

this is exactly why you never go 'all-in' or 'all-out' when daytrading, without good reason.
Luckily I wasn't going 'all-in' Cheesy
Just wanted to share that you can still make a loss when gaining fiat, if you think in Bitcoins.

“Check it out. Dustin Hoffman, ‘Rain Man,’ look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Count toothpicks to your cards. Autistic, sure. Not retarded. You know Tom Hanks, ‘Forrest Gump.’ Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe. Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon and won a ping-pong competition. That ain’t retarded. You went full retard, man. Never go full retard.”

Sold at $159.XX bought at $146.XX Smiley

Only really works when there is a random selloff like today when there isn't any lag.  Which doesn't happen very often.

Keep the fiat profit on the exchange to buy bitcoins on dips if you want to even things out a little

I think I will keep those divided from now on, if I should try to daytrade again.
A certain amount of Bitcoins saved in case of a Bitcoin sucess and a (smaller) certain amount only to be traded and make some fiat (only after you have gathered the coins you want to hold, except you were able buy on a real low!).

Same, I'm losing bitcoins by day trading but at the moment I sleep easier holding $ rather than BTC

Also I've been averaging 2% return each day, if I kept that up for a year I would be rich.

I had dreams of 10%/day after few such days Smiley
