You can know about it with Bitcoin block explorer, type block number = 0 and you will see the Coinbase message. Don't rely on Binance and that graphics was made by someone else, not by Binance. I saw it many times and in many years and really sure that Binance has no reserved rights with it.

The graphic is for a Raw hex version, it is explained in Bitcoin wiki.

I took the image I showed in the OP from one of Binance's social media platforms, not relying on them for this information because I and other friends can see it directly by opening the explore you mentioned.
Thank you for sharing it here so that beginners can see for themselves the blocks we mean.

Because the topic 15 year anniversary of Bitcoin Genesis block 3 Jan 2024 was already created in this thread by hd49728, what if I lock it so it doesn't double.

Other parties such as Binance have warned this by tweeting on their official Twitter account.
It would be ironic if we didn't celebrate this historic moment with each other.

It is more friendly and also more correct if you say Binance announce or remind it. There is no warning that is a 15 anniversary of Bitcoin genesis block that is not a risk for anyone.

Crazy the amount of money that people sent to that Genesis block.
I am pretty sure it will never be moved and it’s considered lost. Even some of the recent donations sent there have been large. I understand you want to piece of history but will anyone actually check all those transactions? Probably not.

Coinbase also tweeted the hash of the first block and many had no idea what it means. It’s also crazy seeing how low the difficulty was back then compared to now and how we need these ASICS all around the world to solve the next block. I remember my first Antminer S1.

How time passes quickly. It's been 15 years! the time flies!

for those who always disbelieve and like to say that bitcoin is dead, this kind of thing must be a problem lol

15 years is enough time to prove yourself with something of value, humanity's greatest creation after the internet, true freedom!

Thank you Satoshi!

15 years ago is a very long time from now, the early adopters of this currency will be awed by how fast bitcoin has come and how successful it has been today. Sadly that most of the early adopters sold their bitcoins for small amount when the price was nothing compared to now and some of them lost their seed phrase to access their wallets where they’ve stored those bitcoins. Happy 15 year’s anniversary to the first genesis block of bitcoin, I was far from knowing about bitcoin at that time.

Concerning this from my understanding and research overtime, I believe that Bitcoin was not created to be an asset but rather a simple currency for p2P transactions. However as Bitcoin grew and became more stable it began to become more of an asset than a p2P currency.

Bitcoin has transgressed from the basic use of it into an asset for investment. This is because of how its value continue to grow amidst all rallies surrounding it. Bitcoin now serves more purpose as an asset than what it was originally designed for to be p2p currency and most of the people in the space are coming in as investors rather than coming to use the currency for p2p.

This is a simultaneously a Bitcoin milestone and fact.
However as at about 15 years ago I knew nothing about programs and even Bitcoin. But I guess I can't blame myself for that since the era of tech adoption in my region is quite new compared to others.

During my newbie days on the forum I did a lot of research and studies about Bitcoin history, milestones and even facts just like this one.

Bitcoin, which is currently the most widely known asset among all levels of society in the world.

15 years ago, I hadn't heard about bitcoin. I am indeed wowed by those who have made replies how during those early years, they bought bitcoin as a joke, never thinking that it would get to $100, $1000, or even cross $10,000. Some of them joined their collage friends to buy after they had read the bitcoin whitepaper. Actually, some of them didn't hodl at first. They bought, sold, and bought again. From then on, they started to DCA until this very moment.  What would be your own bitcoin story in the next 15 years.

Just imagine the state bitcoin would be in 2029…. It would mark the 20th year since the bitcoin was made

But let us just focus on the now this year marks the 15th year since bitcoin was first created it puts things into perspective and lets us dwell into how bitcoin has performed in the past 15 years and how it can progress in the next 15 years as well with the halving event coming up soon Let us all celebrate bitcoin’s success and wish for more prosperity
Well it could either go bad or go good, there's no in between, and frankly speaking there's a case to be made for both considering that bitcoin's lack of scalability of features is becoming a bigger problem now that more people and more visionaries are becoming interested in bitcoin's advanced technology. On the other hand this would surely bring an upsurge of users into the network which would mean more money in circulation. Honestly at this point I just wish we get what we want regarding bitcoin's still hard to deal with transaction speed and time, we need it now and we would it need it more in the future soon as bitcoin becomes receives a more mainstream appeal.

15 years from now the first bitcoin genesis block is mined, if we don't play our cards right by 2029 we might not even have miners who would be interested to mine bitcoins anymore no matter how "profitable" it may be cause it's just not worth it when you're going to spend stupendous amounts of money for fees and wait for days on end to have your transaction taken care of.

Bitcoin, which is currently the most widely known asset among all levels of society in the world, must be reminded of every historical moment that Satoshi has ever done, such as today, January 3, 2024, being the same year and date as January 3, 2009 when the first genesis block was created.
I was not aware of this information thanks for sharing it. Although this needs no celebration events as these is not some big things of the current era but they should be considered as one. We have a pizza day, satoshi's last day at BTT, and now we have the first block made on 3rd January. I think Satoshie was also waiting for the new year to launch its product.

I have seen the same strategy in many other crypto-related projects like airdrop projects and platforms launching there mainnet in January or in the first quarter of 2024. This has to be some market strategy to launch new projects at the earl time of the new year. Or I am just imagining.

Binance shares a lot of news, like the one shared in which China took action against there citizens using USDT for trading purposes while they took the example of Binance as to create fear among the traders of crypto, and Binance shared it by itself. They are just covering new topics and news to gain more traffic that's it.

/.../
but the date and knowing that today marks approximately 15 years is something I don't know about.

But the fact is that today marks precisely fifteen years since the genesis block! The word "approximately" implies there is some uncertainty about the date, which is not the case here.  Bitcoin's genesis block was mined on January 3, 2009, and the blockchain celebrates its official birthday today.

This same topic happens to already exist on this board and was created early this morning by hd49728, so I believe you missed looking through the board properly before creating the same topic. Well, it happens like that sometimes.

I was reading about this earlier today on . Wall Observers and I must say I was never even aware of the very first day on which the first bitcoin block was mined. I have come across the word genesis block, which I know was the beginning of the whole thing, and all other blocks followed after that, but the date and knowing that today marks approximately 15 years is something I don't know about.

The fact that the news headline of that day was actually used and added as a note on the block to mark the very fact that it was mined, "Chancellor on the brink of a second bailout for banks," I guess this was how the exact date of the genesis block was being noted and recorded up to this day.

I want to remind the very new beginners here that January 03 is the day Satoshi created the first genesis block.
I didn't use the search function to see if anyone had already made it.
