In my opinion, BTC should be the first transaction, because here you will be safe and can learn the original way of trading, thus reducing your risk.

If this is your first time trading, choose BTC, as this is a safe coin for you and they will be profitable for you if you have the patience to wait.

my advice when you trade for altcoins type in an event from altcoins that you will buy.
for example now from coin ZClassic holds an Airdrop event for Anonymous Bitcoin.

you can see on the Bittrex and Cryptopia Exchange exchanges.

Officially in the trading game...my first BTC trade order just got filled last night (bought a few RVN on Cryptobridge with it).  Will probably leave it on the exchange a bit to see if I can trade back into BTC later when RVN picks up a few satoshi.  What was your first BTC-to-alt trade, and how'd it end up for you?
Mine was actually xlm, omg, waves, iota, ada, neo, and of course (like any proper noob) trx and xrp. I bought them during the dip and then I just watched in despair - they dipped even more and more Cheesy I still hold them. Sold some ada for tomo, but other than that I've traded a bit just to get more of them.

Not bad.If you think, that altcoin is more potential than bitcoin after the deep investigation .You can blindly convert the bitoin to Altcoin.
Some will say, bitcoin is always better than the altcoin. But my opinion is some altcoin also have good potential as like bitcoin.

I remember that my first trading was stratis and the second one waves. Fortunately I had 40% profit after 1 week from stratis and I was very happy but I had to wait for around 1 month for waves to come in my entry point.

I started my crypto trading on Poloniex. Though it is a shitty exchange now, it was one of the best exchanges back in those days.
The first coin I bought was XRP because my friend suggested it to me. He said me that it is a good coin for beginners and pretty much safe to trade.
I bought some coins to find out that my portfolio is keeping on decreasing day by day and after a few weeks I sold it off. My first trade resulted in a loss.
Though it resulted in a loss, it was a nice experience.

Its been a few weeks since jumping in so I thought I'd give an update.  I sucked pretty bad starting out, but figured some stuff out after a few small mistakes.  It's been fun, but it's kinda stressful at the same time.  Its nice having some luck lately with it though!  Whole market has been pretty interesting the last few weeks.  Thanks for sharing your experiences on what your early trading was like...keep it coming!

Have a good experience with my first altcoin trade which is iost. It really give me a big huge profits considered that I only gained that in a campaign. Anyway, I used to buy some new coins like pcn  and had a great profits too. Some altcoins that I buy, was stored on my wallet for my long term hodl.

My first trading was OMG. It was a penny that made me regret so much. When I buy OMG in October, and then the price of OMG is meager. After getting tired of this coin, I decided to sell to invest in another currency. Unfortunately, the next few days the price has risen to $ 18

The expectation is high this June. And I'm waiting to get my own experience for the first time. I hope it is going to make me happy and fine too. I'm still holding some coin and looking at luck to come on me.
Surely luck will come to you in June. A friend of mine has stated that in June the entire crypto market will increase and of course, I completely trust what he says is true.

Is about the patient game. You enter at the time that market is high and against you, you have no option than to wait and wait. The best is being lucky to enter when market is on gains already. My experience has been good.

Why did you choose this exchange and this token? Would not it be better to choose an exchange with more volume and an Alt with more liquidity?

What you did was just bet on a project like you bet on a casino.

Fair points, and yes, that's good trading advice to make sure you have the ability to manage your position in a liquid exchange.

Ravencoin's exchange options are pretty limited right now, and Cryptobridge is one of the better ones (it's traditionally been that exchange's highest volume coin over the last 3 months).  Also, not looking to day trade this stuff...more looking for buying/selling peaks and dips with this portion a few times over the course of the next few months.  I feel like there could be some decent movement coming for this coin as security exchanges start to launch.  Its more for fun/learning experience than anything (it wasn't for a huge amount of BTC).  Just wanted to hear other experiences on others' first/early trading.

Mine was actually Ethereum Classic last summer, and unfortunately for me I am still looking to get back out of it. Bought near the top so I will either have to accept losses, or wait quite some time for it to surpass that mark Undecided.

This year also it will going to peak in next month so Definitely your expectation is satisfied in June month. Because next month Russia government is plan to legalisation so all the Coins are going to moon in soon and lot of peoples are pick for short term trading that is little risky investment.

if you want to earn some satoshi then you have to wait for sometime. It also depend upon your luck because it is possible that price may go down and you loose some satoshi. Trading is not about profit all the time, you have to loose sometime as well. My first btc to alt trade was BTC-LOC. It was really good experience. I earned good profit. Observe keenly and decide wisely.
