This link shows a message hidden in the code behind the first block. The message says "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks" after decoding. It's pretty obvious why he invented Bitcoin after reading that message. The banks can't steal your Bitcoins out of your bank account when they go bankrupt.

the block is called the genesis block and mined by satoshi, the creator of us all

The creator of us all sounds a bit dramatic.. That's like saying he is a god..

He may have invented something awesome, but is not nearly as cool as the evolution of humans.

Genesis block was mined by satoshi after a few couple of days, I think. Those coins can never be spent though, and it is also hinted that satoshi owns a million coins distributed on different wallets. First public pool was Slush pool.

Hey guys, i'm a little interested with the history of the blockchain. So I've come up with a few questions:

Who mined the first block?
Satoshi Nakamoto.
Can I find information on the first block on blockchain.info?
Yes. https://blockchain.info/block/000000000019d6689c085ae165831e934ff763ae46a2a6c172b3f1b60a8ce26f The coins can't be spent ever though.
How long did it take to mine the first block?
Not sure. It took him 6 days to mine the second block and on. He probably stopped mining after the first block for a while. After the rest, blocks were more frequent.
How many miners were mining the first block?
No one can tell.
What was the first ever bitcoin mining pool?
First public pool is slush pool.
Which was the first pool mined block?
Miners can choose not to label. But the first block mined by slush pool is this: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/block/000000000000dcaab612dcfd2a7b281c794a6da9006773dab55141ac608bfc86.
