I just listened to the Executive Director of Unicef Ireland - Peter Power on the radio this evening
talking about "FIRST HAND" reports from some of the Unicef staff returning from Gaza after
their term of providing aid. At this stage hearing the reports still shocks me, every time I hear
these interviews from people and organisations who are in the middle trying to administer aid
their stories really make me sad and angry, it seems they are not being listened to by the
people in power and who can make a difference.

A simple 10 second report today really shocked me about a young boy who was collecting herbs
and nettles was simply shot . . .

From Unicefs website the first paragraph from the donate to the Gaza appeal page reads:
Quote
Over 30,000 people have been killed in Gaza, 70% of whom are women and children. We continue
to call for a complete and immediate ceasefire and for the killing and targeting of all children to stop.

The US, Israel have far too much power, too few countries are willing to stand up and call out
the brutality and ware crimes being carried out by Israel.

All I hear on the radio news bulletins now is that there are proposals of sanctions against Iran
for launching missiles on Israel while Israel itself commits various war crimes daily, its
sad, maddening and worrying.
