This is not promoting, I just want to tell people that you can invest in btc now, if you want to try or not trust it is not up to me.

Actually I'm looking for a company to invest in litecoin now.

Secondly,d odolvlobo, indeed I have a 14 year old child and apparently you used my account to chat with my child. I don't want adults to chat with children. So if you have underage children, watch out for odolvlobo because he wants to see "certain things' of little children in exchange for btc I think, why else would he send some btc if he really did.

And silly me ... I was a sucker for his first post and sent him 0.01 bitcoins (which he said was lost, obviously hoping for more sympathy).

Well he was obviously a kid fooling around but it's good that you documented this anyway.
Btw when did you send him the 0.01 bitcoins? Today because of this thread?  Huh

thanks for teaching newbies to detect a scam, this example is pretty good.

If something is too good to be true, most probably it isn't

This kind of business needs allot of trust, there website seems to be a very basic website in the term of communication (with no registered addresses?),also this kind of business might require regulation in the UK/US so it might cause problems in the site's future.

This is a scam.

In willwise's first post (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/meaning-detected-new-block-323597) he claims to be a 14 year old kid and has no bitcoins. He was asking for donations.

Well electricity is free for me, my mother (I'm 14 and live here with her and our cat Mandy) hire a house with electricity for one price. So what would you advise me to do, to get any (maybe only 0.0000001) bitcoins?
If anyone is rich and want to donate a very small amount so I can learn how to store bitcoins in a wallet and how to store it on an external harddrive, send to:
1BhwzTqXCinNj6wuSBwuxc6CoHYfrn3Ruy

Now, he has 3 BTC to invest in some obscure hedge fund, and he is promoting it?

Please note that 3 weeks ago, he had no bitcoins according to his first post. Yet in this thread he says that he has invested bitcoins in the hedge fund for at least a month.

... First I was skeptic, but this was my first investment done in bitcoin. After a month I got a 9% profit on my first investment and later on a 11% profit on my 3 BTC investment.

And silly me ... I was a sucker for his first post and sent him 0.01 bitcoins (which he said was lost, obviously hoping for more sympathy).

Oh I did not tell, but I found them via their website.
On their website they say they also have a facebookpage. And you can get a free small investment, just to attract new customers.
If you are not sure it is safe (They gave me back my investment + some profit), try this free thing that launched today. Or call/email them.

That's probably to trick others to into paying. Sounds like a ponzi-scheme to me.

Almost certainly a scam to fleece newbies, I have seen this kind of thing many times before on the forums.

Newbies please take the extra effort to invest in BTC directly yourself, its much safer.

You have been warned!

I am sceptical but will look at this more closely

Thanks for sharing the info

I was sceptical too in the beginning, so only invested a bit, but I just gave it a try haha
Also heard about another investing fund related to Goldman Sachs that was starting investing in bitcoin, but only from 50BTC or more, I don't have that much haha.

I first invested 0.1 BTC and later 3 BTC in the BTCTron hedge fund. (I had contact via e-mail [email protected])
First I was skeptic, but this was my first investment done in bitcoin. After a month I got a 9% profit on my first investment and later on a 11% profit on my 3 BTC investment. William vanderWood from BTCTron asket me to send the following information to interested friends.

---BTCTron Hedge Fund---
BTCTron is a hedge fund based in New York City and London. The goal of BTCTron is to provide sustainable return and reduce risk for investors in bitcoin. We are the first hedge fund that only focuses on cryptocurrencies. Investing is only possible in BTC and LTC at the moment. We are in progress of getting a bank status, so we can also accept dollars, pounds and euros in near future (expected from first quarter of 2014)
The return rates in BTC of the two funds we offer at this moment can be found below. These returns are month on month returns!

Risk fund (Less risks reduction, but higher expected profit) Since October 2013
October: -4%  November (until today): 17%

Crypto fund (Invests in cryptocurrency, assets and derivatives to provide a high return) Since Februari 2013
February: 4% March: -2% April: 7% May: 13% June: 8% July: 3%  August: -3% September: 5% October: 1%  November (until today): 11%

If you are interested we ask you to get in touch via e-mail. ([email protected]) Direct investments can be done via 1CNYuCPkEjVuixMrAH4ArNduaFw5UZ6BMq , but we ask to e-mail contact details, so we can pay you when you want to be paid.
