Yes I pressed both of the red breaker buttons (although, they didn't "feel" like they did much). I looked up the manual to the PDU and confirmed, one PSU was plugged into one end, the other in the other end (both in different banks).



Gotcha, I don't have experience with that particular PDU, but others that I've used give you a tactile feel when you reset the breaker. Just like the one in your panel you might have to fully depress it down and then reset it.

I pretty much know the answer to that, no, they shouldn't  Grin. That's why I'm baffled. Trying to determine if I have faulty power calculations or just got a bad PSU. My setup:

240/250v 30A Dryer Recepticle (NEMA 14-30R)
NEMA 14-30R to L6-30R for my ..
PDU30BVHVT20F (Cyberpower PDU 30A)

I have two Avalon 741's, two 1200W PSUs from amitylabs (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Supply-for-Antminer-L3-110V-or-Antminer-D3-L3-A741-220V/182723026931?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649).


My calculations
2 miners = 1200w x 2 = 2400w
2400w / 240v = 10A each

10A + 10A = 20 AMP total. On a 30AMP plug thats roughly 67% load all the time (in safe range)

I ran one miner for about 8 hours just to see how it worked before hooking the second one up.

Hooked the second one up to the opposite bank on the Cyberpower PDU, and after 1-2 minutes I heard POP - outside breakers didn't flip (I think the PDU breaker did). Now the PSU is bad (no lights come on on the PSU - ever).

So are my power calculations off, or did I just get a pad PSU? Amitylabs has an awesome reputation and amazing support, so I don't doubt they will rectify the situation. Just want to make sure I'm not about to burn my house down.

Note: I confirmed that the Avalon 741 did not die, just the PSU. I'm currently running the 741 on the first PSU that works.



You reset the breaker on the PDU right? And you definitely confirmed that you have each miner on a separate PDU breaker?
