They never really integrated it into their website, it was always an annoying process of calling in, getting an exchange rate, and then paying to their only bitcoin address.

Since they removed the bitcoin option, I have paid in bitcoin by choosing Cash then calling in. I'm not sure if they only do that for me or anyone who asks, though.

Foodler accepts bitcoins in a much more streamlined manner and has more delivery options throughout the country. I love them.

But they accept it no more?

Strange that they didn't just implement bitpay or some such intermediary if they're that terrified of making money as Bitcoin rises in value.

Maybe due to transaction times? I'm not sure.

Wow, this is win-win!!!  The 10% off the order is well-deserved!  Since no exuberant credit card fee.

That was me!

For posterity's sake, I ordered a turkey sandwich, fried okra, potato salad, soup, and a root beer (there's a $15 minimum). He gave me 10% off the order for paying with bitcoins. I also got a free order of deep fried doughnut holes due to a web/phone pricing discrepancy.

Hopefully they get so many orders that they need to get set up proper -- where each order gets its own Bitcoin address.

Though I suppose since you call the site first, the order (with delivery address) is known before the payment hits the blockchain.  Unless they have two open orders for the same amount, the price can be used as the unique id to know which order the payment applies against.

Who's the first customer?  Wink

I guess I should try it out -- it IS my hometown   Grin

You should!  yes yes!

Rock on!  I hope they continue to get more. I've reached out to the two food delivery services in Cleveland to get them to start accepting.

Ah, I just suggested grubhub in a different thread. Grubgo looks similar. Yes, this is a good idea.

Looks like they got a customer!

This is very interesting, hopefully it's the first of a new wave of merchants that start accepting Bitcoin. To me this is at least as big as suddenly getting 100 new Bitcoin only merchants. Probably bigger. Bitcoin startup merchants rarely work out as viable businesses but here we have what I call a relevant merchant, which is very different.
