Please ask yourselves... is the coin I’m investing in secure, fast, scalable, great development team and community? If not... that coin isn’t going anywhere. It’s a pump and dump. Having a small supply raises the price but in reality it will never be a “merchant” coin. Invest in the coin that has the ability to be the coin for commerce. It's 5 out of 5 for me, so 50/50. I guess it's just part of the unregulated landscape of cryptoverse. No use crying over spilled milk, I always move on to the next bounty. It is what it is.

I also made some bounty. There is also a lot of no money. It's a waste of time. It's very important to inspect the project before you can do the bounty. I now choose a good project to do. It won't be so blind.
It was unfortunate for others to experience being scammed by those useless person. I have not experience it, yet but i will try my best to be more vigilant and to choose wisely what kind of bounties should i join, if ever.
i have joined a scam bounty and that bounty is really like real until someone find out it was scam. if you want to joined bounty look for campaign manager with higher rank also with good trust rating. campaign manager that are newbie have higher chance of being a scam.

I have been participating in some scam projects also. I did not took as much time as I should to do my research about them, and let me mention that some of them can look sometimes legitimate. Then i started to be more carefully and win more experience to take my decisions.
I only join one campaign does not pay participants, but after that I did not experienced any of scam because I think I careful when I join to campaign . To make sure that campaign pay you look the campaign manager if they check the project carefully before accepting it and campaign manager who manage funds that who are trusted.

The next time you join bounty programs, make sure you did read everything about the project. Don't join just to earn without noticing if some part of the campaigns goes wrong.Sometimes we will not notice that the campaign but the best effective way is to read their whitepaper and join their telegram to be updated ofcourse.

None. Simplest way to find out if project is good is to watch signature spreadsheet and figure out how much people with high ranks taking a part in it. If a lot, it mean that project is at least not a scam. Because people who work here long time, have much more experience in ICO quality investigation.

At least three, it is indeed a waste of time some bounty campaign even extend up to 4 months so better thoroughly check the project, one or two whole days of research than wasting your time and effort for a whole 3 months, but even if the project looks legit it could still stopped their ICO.
I usually take a careful look at the project and if there is anything , and i mean anything that throws me off, i dont go there.
For example, bad quality design, shady product, team from only one shady country.
BUT i managed to get in CENTRA and TBAR,lost a good chunk of tokens which i was holding .
They were a very professional scammers, since a lot people fell for them.

The world of crypto is cruel and unpredictable. If you've just hit a scam once and have been disappointed, you better back off, because in the future you may come back to meet the ICO scam not once only once. I have faced several times with scam ICOs, and have faced several times with failed ICOs. The scam ICOs present a lot and if there is no ICO bounty selection experience, the higher likelihood you will encounter these fraud ICOs, do not pay Token after the campaign ends. I have been associated with many bounty campaigns, and most of them are just in case of slow pay bounty, but I have never encountered a scam ICO project ever.
I was scammed by OTHO . It was not an ICO, it was the best airdrop campaign I have ever participated, with several tasks. They had their website, WP, Roadmap token etc. They were planning to do airdrops every month , 54 of them. To be eligible we had to be active on their internal platform, telegram group etc. - like in bounty campaign and to fulfil several tasks before airdrop and during the aridrop .
There was a questionnaire for what You had to be prepared and learn for it from one-pager as only first 500 participants go through. Every detail was well planned and very professional. After 2 months they disappeared and I do not understand up to now what was their motivation behind to put so much energy in it if they wanted to scam . ( as they were not collecting money ).
They had their token on the exchange but still it was early phase and no big volume so they could not dump the tokens and get rich.

Actually i made alot of mistakes in my previous bounty. But joining some good ico and paid me a good bounty rewards is very overwhelming. I hope along the way we could see a good ICO project.
I think that every member of crypto community should contribute to prevent scam in ICO and bounty campaigns. I also think that it need to found an organization or committee which will be an arbiter on the market. It also need to have rules which everybody will respect.

I think every one can't avoid it. Some project that has bounty program sometimes good and you think that is worth working and promoting it but at the end you gain nothing from your hard work. Even though we are very careful on choosing bounty program to join,still we can experience scam and we are just wasting our time and effort. But still there are good project and always give you reward from promoting that's why even there are scam project don't lose your hope and keep on trying to work in bounty. Before you take part in a bounty program, you must always remember that in a way you are participating in the ICO token metrics. Though you are not investing your money in the ICO, however, you are investing your time to help them raise the funds they need for the project, and my friend, Time is also Money.
When you are participating in a bounty program, research around it if you are investing in an ICO, check the team behind it, investors and partners backing it up, check if there is a real world usage of the project and tokens. Evaluate the success case of the ICO and then join the bounty program.

So far, about 10% of projects turned out to be "scam". That includes not paying bounty hunters, successfully reaching softcap, but still cancelling the project or cancelling the project in the middle of the crowdsale for unclear reasons. I consider them all scam, if they don't refund their investors. If they in fact do refund, then I simply put them under "cancelled" label. It's my third month onto bounties, and I already have like 10-15 projects. 
It's too much, I conclude that I should do more research for the project I chose. But there was also a few good campaigns and I hope these project will pay off.

I know it feels bad man, but it'd impossible to avoid this kibd of situations. However, in the long-run you will see that the good projects that you select will make up big time for those who turned out bad. Just don't give up.
Lucky for me until now spared from the scam. that analysis is an important first step and specify. an unknown team certainly would make things quite suspicious for an ICO. Do not be so stupid as me, read about project, take a look at the team, read whitepaper and check some ratings. It can save you from wasting you time for 4-8 weeks....

SCAM ICOs are everywhere. Everyday I am hearing news about scam icos. This is becoming a severe problem also it is degrading the reputation of cryptocurrency. This needs an immediate solution.
you're absolutely right. more and more scam ico are in the crypto world. and many people are afraid to invest now. i won't invest in an ico anymore. i prefer to buy eth or btc. they are real and will still live in a year.
Thats sad, I have faced two scam ICOs during 6 months of bounty hunting, one of them was GasFiles, I spend about 5 weeks for them and at the end they have just deleted all counts, they even haven't payed to the bounty manager.
Well that is totally your fault you fell for it. You saw that they did not give out any information about them publicly which is one the signs about them trying to scam people. But you still went on to join them knowing that they will scam, so you indirectly encouraged them to scam more people. Make sure next time you be careful and alert others if you think they are trying to scam.
I've participated 2 scam ICO's which is Uchit and Impressio, glad I've just joined their social media campaign because if I joined their signature campaign it would be a waste of time. I didn't made a deeper research that's why I got fooled on those ICO's.

I didn't participate in any scam ICO. That was my luck i suppose. The first time when i was scammed was on crypto world and i deposit bitcoins to a "cloud mining site" after 2 or 3 days i made the deposits site was no more available and never get back on, and not got my bitcoin back.
You always should choose ICO after many verification and check the team always. Is a hard work and sometimes you must be very open-eye to detect scams.

I have not been able to participate in a large number of campaigns yet. To reduce the likelihood of participating in the scam campaign, I choose projects from well-known managers or groups of managers. This compensates for inexperience in the choice of bounty.
This is really common even if you have done your research. I have participated in bounties that never paid or the project was a scam and tokens are worthless now (e.g. Centra).
This is why I dont join a lot of bounty or airdrop or ICO unless I am very sure about the project.

I joined a lot of bounty campaigns and I don't even remember how many I have finished and how many are really paying and legitimate. All I can say is hustle hard mate, these times might be tough for you because you're quite new here but just hustle and you'll see your fruit of labor.
I think this happens to everyone who participated in bounty campaign especially in their early days. As you gain more experience, you can better distinguish which ones are likely to be scam and which ones are likely to be legit. But even with good experience, some would still fall to "soft cap not reached, no payment to bounty participants"
