Well just from going of what others are saying, there is probably no point starting mining now, considering the dedicated hardware that is coming out, and the reward dropping to 25btc. That said, others may have a different view.

This!^ However, if you were planning to build a gaming PC anyway, then why not make it dual purpose.

If you are mining with the 58xx card, you can absolutely use the on-board graphics for general computing, light gaming or watching youtube.

I'm a new to bitcoin wanna be.

I have two options to setup an machine. Just built an htpc with the following:
i3-2105
Asrock h77m
4gb ddr3
micro atx enclousure.

Or:
1366 motherboard
i7-920 undervolted and pose. Disable 3 cores
6gb ddr3 standard tower

Now I'm trying to get an 5830 or 5850 card to start.  Can I use the onboard video of the sandy bridge without affecting the performance of the Ati card for mining? Or am I better off using an non integrated Cpu with the ati cards?
