Hi, I'm also a newbie. I was told to post something.

I'm not sure what I have to post. I created this account mostly to comment and criticize ideas on the subforum  Development & Technical Discussion, like the one about padding blocks with junk data.

Hi guys !

As stated earlier, I need to make a first post to be able to make PM right ?

So here is my first post :

I'm from Quebec city and I found bitcoin fews months ago. I played a little with the currency and got a sleeper account of approximatly 10 BTC. I forgot this wallet since yesterday where I realised that those little BTC had 10x the value I paid !!

Woaaa thank to the chinese Tongue

Anywayz, I'm subscribing to this forum to possibly make an hardware group buy with other canadian bitcoin's fan for the fun. I'm sure it will be fun

Hello and Welcome!
The rule(s) is(are) the same for everyone so i guess it's fair to endure the short time untill we fulfill them.
Being a part of this community is well worth it i believe.  Wink

Sadly i can't help you with the deleted wallets but hope you can solve it. Sad

Cheers!

Hello,

I have the same issue with the forum rules.
I got a link to a forum post and need to send a PM to the author, but the requirements you mentioned are preventing this.

So, I`m starting to do some Bitcoin/Altcoin mining as well.

To your special problem, do you still have access with your bitcoin wallet software e.g. bitcoin-qt to this wallet?
If you do, then you should only remember your passphrase if you encrypted your wallet

Unfortunately by forum rules, I'm forced to make a substantial post as my first post before I'm allowed to post else where. I guess I can tell you a bit about myself and why I'm here.

I'm a 19 Y/O male from Vancouver, Canada. Yes, the city with one of the first Bitcoin ATM's (I was there today actually) Over a year ago I had 40BTC and spent it on silly internet stuff not knowing a year later the price would increase almost 1000%. I'm currently kicking myself in the ass over that. I just put in $100 today and I plan on putting another $10,000 over time when all is said and done. I do hope to make some profit, and I am prepared to lose all the money I put into BTC.

I'm here because I deleted 2 wallets around half a year ago and was able to partially recover them using "Recuva" and now I need help basically getting the private keys from them. I've read multiple posts on here with people who have the similar problems, and nothing worked for me so I'm going to post my own thread so maybe I can get some help. Thanks.
