  2.   Be as human as possible   : this also helped me because if I'm creating a thread, I try as much as possible to talk about things i'm familiar with and also express it the way i view it which always makes people to relate easily with it, I guess that's what helped me not to break the rule of plagiarism as all my threads and replies are very much organic and void of copy and paste.

This is a good one. If newbies finally see the value in being their authentic self, there would be less plagiarism and AI generated posts on the forum. You don’t have to write an essay or try to be a journalist to be noticed by others. Just be yourself and post as you would on a social network.

5. Don't hodl your S merit give it out   : it's always a certainty that one get more attached to your thread or replies when you've merited them in the past and ao, as you receive merit that brings you S merit, also give it to others.
I don’t agree with this. You should not give merits to a user just because you want them to notice your account and hopefully merit you back. This theory might be working for some as the term merit backscratchers is not new to the forum. But I don’t think that should be a criteria for meriting a post.

Congratulations on your new rank; I can imagine how hectic it must have been to rank up, but most progress in life requires a rigorous process before achieving something. Now that you're a full member, use the corrections and criticisms you've endured over the months to help you grow in the forum. Your next goal should be to become a senior member, and I'm sure you'll be more excited then than you are now. If you really want it, the next journey should be a little easier for you because, after five months, you should have learned how to rank up in the forum by doing the right thing. Anyway, enjoy your new rank while preparing to start the new journey to senior member.

Congratulations on your new rank. It has been a while I’ve seen one of these kind of threads. Ideally, you should have posted your self congratulatory message here. I would have suggested you move your topic to reputation board but I also see reasons why you might want to leave it here in Beginners & Help. The lessons you shared in the OP will be useful to newbies who are finding difficulty with their own learning experience.

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
The last time I ever thought of celebrating my ranks has been ever since I became a full member -- up until now...!! Cause why? A whole lot of critics would use this medium to either molest you, or say sweet stuffs -- rather ironically... Secondly, If everyone wanted to celebrate them ranks for each time it comes, they'll become a META BOARD, flooded with topics about ranking up which, could kinda make the whole forum unduly cumbersome for topic finders.

you should've just posted this on the topic in the reputation board... anyways, congrats on your ranking!! It reminds me of the good old days lol.

6. Do your thing, get the criticism and come back better:      don't be afraid of what people will say about your opinion, say it out and when you are criticized, it will only make you a better person And you will have the chance of doing it better next time.

This is where many people get discouraged and abandon the forum the moment they get criticized about a post they made. But they often forget that criticism is part of life and the fact that you are criticized simply means that you are on the right track that's why you were even noticed and got criticized. Congratulations on your new rank.

3. Apply every knowledge you learn and improve also on your writing    :
Applying what you have learned will make you master what you have learned and encourage you to learn more. The problem most members have is that they refuse to improve themselves because they are not focused on learning. Some of them want to become full members overnight so they devise every means to earn merits instead of patiently learning and improving on their post quality. They fail to understand that quality posts are the only means of climbing the ladder of this forum.

6. Do your thing, get the criticism and come back better:
I have seen newbies that get offended because they were corrected. They fail to recognise that this is a forum where everyone is free to express their views about your posts. If you cannot entertain simple criticism, then such a person is not willing to learn. But you will succeed when you learn from constructive criticism and ignore unnecessary attacks. This forum is like a school where we learn and relearn so there will always be corrections.

Congratulations OP on your achievement.

Firstly congratulations to you Hewlet on achieving your full member rank.

I remember sometime ago when I hit my first 7 days of login on Bitcoin talk I was so excited that I also made a similar post on the reputation board. However although some members congratulated me some actually gave me some sort of advice like that of _act_ and lovesmayfamilis which actually meant you mustn't create posts like this everytime you achieve something because if everyone does there would be too much spam posts all over the reputation and meta board.

As for this I am constantly out of smerits Smiley even right now I am down to my last one ,because I never hesitate to send them out to quality posts, and members who contribute a lot to the forum.

You are right. There's this exhilarating feeling of achievement and self pride especially when you look back to how far you have come. Just got a question though; I guess attaining the rank of full member isn't just the mark you are aiming at, you sure would be aiming to hit the apex, yeah? So, I'm wondering if this will be the trend, that for every rank you get to, you'd open a self congratulatory thread and adding some anecdote to to encourage the the next person?
Well, it's cool to once in a while do these things and there's a thread dedicated for such but I'm just saying, let the impact you've made in the forum speak for you, than you doing so for yourself.

I agree with you, but some members just can't resist sharing their experience with others and are really excited about their "success". In addition to everything that the OP wrote, I would perhaps add something else that somehow has something to do with reputation, and it concerns signature campaigns.

Each member should set his moral standards much higher than is the case today, and that means that he should not agree to advertise things that do not look "promising" at all. Don't get me wrong, I was also a member of some campaigns that I'm not proud of, but I want to say that there is always a better choice.

First if I want to congratulate you Op for your achievements and I know how it feels to ranking up here in our community, and for your achievements and  achieving full member here in our community for only a few months is very good enough  that you have the speed of ranking. Cause we all know some other users here in our community struggling for their rank on how it rise but you surpass and achieve your full member just in 5 months.

Once again congrats and good luck cause every achievements is the beginning of challenges.

OP, there is a thread on the reputation board that you should have posted this. However, I see the joy in you for achieving your new rank.

I don't think that because you give out merits in your post will make forum members have interest on your post if it is of low quality. You give out merits on post or comment that is helpful to you and you have learnt something from it.

Giving out smerits is a personal choice and not compulsory because everyone has plan on how to use their smerits, especially the members that are not merit source. So this shouldn't be an advice on how one can use his smerits. Members can decide which post to merit or not  and that is their own decision.

You don't have to say this, one is free to use his s merit at anytime as long as it goes inline with the expected ways of sending it, secondly, you're not expected to send a merit if not on the purpose of you receiving a quality post that have deserved to be merited, this means you can keep holding until you discovered one good quality post to merit.

6. Do your thing, get the criticism and come back better:      don't be afraid of what people will say about your opinion, say it out and when you are criticized, it will only make you a better person And you will have the chance of doing it better next time.

I don't want you to make this forum look as if you're being criticized or other newbies, everyone has equal rights and opportunities, but when you're being corrected, take heed.

Moreover, this is one the the particular thing we are just discussing about, you know this thread belong to reputation and there's a mega thread for celebrating rank up and achievements, yet you choose to go by this way, could this also be a criticism or correction, just remember that lovesmayfsmilis had corrected earlier.

You are not completely right about this. It is better not to send merit than to send merit to a rubbish post. There are people that do not read what many people are posting but just the highly good members posts, some of them will not send merit often but they are of high value on this forum. If you are able to read some posts and it benefits you, then you can send merit but that is if you want

Modesty adorns a person.
For your joy, there is a separate topic in the reputation section; you can share it there.
If you pay attention, many people among you have achieved high ranks. Should they create so many topics?

You know that feeling when you finally reach your goal and you're like   "i did it, yeah, I did it!
It's been a journey and I must say that this has thought me a lot of things about building something from the scratch, and I can't trade the lesson learned for anything.

Just want to share the lessons I have learnt that I feel will also help other members coming from behind to get a smother journey.

1.   Stick to what works for you   : this is the number one factor that helped me thrive well in the forum, if you go through my post you will notice that it was centered on boards and topics I was familiar with because I joined the forum with little knowledge on crypto and bitcoin and so while I was learning on the forum, I ensured I only concentrate on boards and discussion I hard knowledge about. And for those not getting the visibility they have been looking for, don't be at everywhere in the forum, look for a niche and become good at the discussions their and in no time growth will become certain for you.

3. Apply every knowledge you learn and improve also on your writing    : as a beginner, I had to work on both becoming familiar with the interface and the nature of the forum and what I literally did was to search out for how to do a particular thing using the search option and make sure that when next I'm creating a thread, making a reply or quoting someone's post, I Improved on how I go about it. You can also try this out and make sure that you are quoting rightly, and replying maturedly, the search button is your friend so what ever difficulty you're facing, let the search engine help you through.

4.   Be patient with yourself but don't be careless about it      : growing in the forum literally takes time and it's not something that just happen overnight so follow up the process duly so you won't create post that will get your account banned or receive negative trust. While you're patiently growing in the forum, you can put in extra effort to ensure that you are not stagnant for a long time. You could look out for users that hard the same range of merit with you and use them as your motivation. You can take it as a challenge that they won't outgrow you and this might involve you doing more research and sticking more to areas and discussion that works best for you.

5. Don't hodl your S merit give it out    : it's always a certainty that one get more attached to your thread or replies when you've merited them in the past and ao, as you receive merit that brings you S merit, also give it to others.

6. Do your thing, get the criticism and come back better:      don't be afraid of what people will say about your opinion, say it out and when you are criticized, it will only make you a better person And you will have the chance of doing it better next time.

It's been a turbulent journey but seeing myself this far has not just given me fulfillment that I'm now a full member of the forum, it has also proved to me that if I put my mind at anything, it would only take time but I will accomplish it.

Big thanks to @JayJuanGee, @hugeblack @CryptopreneurBrainboss and every other fellow out their that had contributed to making this journey achievable.

. We keep climbing up a step at a time, no giving up.
