Do you only have one card in your system for both display and mining? It will often crash/error if you connect your monitor to your mining GPU. Try to connect your display to on-board GPU, and leave mining card for mining only. If your motherboard doesn't have an on-board GPU, well, try mining with mining OS such as simplemining, etc.

Yeah, I only have a one card. I've never had a crash while mining, I hope I don't. Thanks for your comment.

Try changing your memory settings to the smallest ones. I have a similar situation with an AMD RX480 8GB graphics card. Errors have been appearing for a long time, but the video card has been mining for 5 years.
Better use MSI Afterburner for setting
Core 1150-1200
Power limit -10 -15
Memory from stock values up to 2100.
I have problems with higher memory frequency 2000 on AMD RX580 8 GB

my settings is: -30 max frequency (952 mHZ)

-30 power limit

-100 mHZ for RAM (1900 mHZ)

Core voltage is 0 (i don't use)

I just hope this problem comes out while digging. I don't want to mess up the card.

952 mHZ is very low for the core.
-30 power limit is also a very large decrease
Try at least 1050 mHZ and -20 power limit and see how the video card works. But it is best to make settings using a wattmeter, then you will see which settings affect energy consumption and which do not.

I have a RX 480 8 GB that gives me the same error although it doesn't get back to normal after few seconds and it crashes. My error was because of core clock undervolting, the card has been used for quite some many years now and it only works mining at 27 Mhsh with default settings,if I try any other value then colors and screen flickering until it crashes.Don't know about you,try running the card with default settings and if there is no error then it is a problem with your card not supporting undervolting or overclocking just like mine.

I will try, thanks.

Could you please copy and paste here the error message you are getting. I have to tried to watch the video using it's highest quality while zoomed in but I am not able to pick anything from the text except for the flicker.

Maybe I misspelled the name of the error because it's the first time I've encountered it. As I said, although I searched for internet, I could not find what the error was. The phrase in the title is the closest. I don't get any error codes, card won't lock, PC won't shut down.

I'm asking about the colors that come and go instantly in the video.
You can see it if you watch the 1. and especially the 5. second carefully.

When the screen flickers it drops from 25 watts to 12 watts and suddenly goes up to 60 watts, then it works normally.
There are those who say that similar problems may be caused by the monitor.

Actually, I can explain more clearly, but my knowledge of the language is not enough.

Hi. I've been mining at low values on purpose for two days. No matter what program I tried yesterday and today, I only get an error that I am not sure about when starting out, as in the video. Let me give you brief information. VRAM temperature does not go above 60 and core does not go above 55. The wattage is 90. The thermal paste may have dried. What is the reason this error?
