You're right, fair point. I poke around a bit but I'm far from a master Redditor.  Grin

So far this one's only made page 2 of HN,

It's odd that YCombinator is in on Coinbase but the users and hangers-on at HN just aren't interested in bitcoin.

The last article made it to #2 on HN and HN was responsible for about 70% of the ~16,000 hits I got in the first 72 hours. I'd say someone at HN is interested in Bitcoin Wink

There are multiple options for card funding being investigated. BTC->USD conversion could occur:
When the BTC arrives at the address on the card (Charlie called this the "worst-case scenario")

I was thinking about a case where I would want this "worst-case scenario" at least as an optional configuration of the card.
Imagine a brick and mortar business that is to be convinced to accept bitcoin.
Would he accept this Credit Card? Clearly yes if it's a Master Card.
Would he do the card handling himself instead of the customer? Maybe slightly weird but if the card somehow magically always has the money when he needs it to pay his customer's bill, maybe yes.

Now you only have to get the restaurant owner one of these wonder cards and tell him to put up a sign that reads something like "Bitcoins accepted. Please charge with this QR Code".

Ok, by the time that more than one customer at a time claims to have charged the magic card, he will have to learn to read the transaction history of his address, but as long as bitcoin customers are a geek minority, this could be cool. I'm not talking about McDonalds but I know bars in Munich where the beer is self service and you pay when you leave.

So far this one's only made page 2 of HN, whereas the first made #2 on page 1, but we're on the front page of Reddit again so I won't complain too much Wink
