Whether you call it a bump or an update, it does not matter.

Bumps are limited to once per day (24 hours), yes this includes "updates", that's what the edit button is for. Old bumps should be deleted as they serve no purpose, and only clutter up topics and make it more annoying to read.

Get your game girl
I update my threads on the Indian altcoin forum twice a week and I noticed my earlier updates have been deleted by the bitcointalk moderator. I don't get the reason as the are not bumps but updates and plus the time gap between the updates is 4 days and not even 24 hours. The Indian forum has no admin and hence I don't know whom to contact. Is it the new rule now to update threads only once and delete earlier updates? Kindly let me know.
If your thread doesn't get any replies from someone that isn't you,it just comes off as spamming to a certain extent.Provided, you keep 'updating' it in regular intervals.I'm also curious who is handling reports for the Indian board. My assumptions however, tell me it must be hilariousandco.

You don't open a public thread which is not self-moderated and expect other members to not reply.More like, coach you on the rules.

Updates are also limited to once per 24 hours. I don't see why would you need to create a new post every time instead of just editing your last one.

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours.[2]

I guess I've already mentioned it in my post that I update the thread every "4" days. I don't get when it's not a bump, why do I need to delete my earlier update. I also asked for a MODERATOR's reply  Roll Eyes

Updates are effectively bumps otherwise bumps would be disguised as updates instead. Its common for people to have updates/change logs below their OP. What's the problem with doing that?

Moderator will likely tell you something similar.

They are clearly updates
The newest update does not cancel the old one, it is something different and provides information

For example,
Post no1
"The xxxcoin implemented the windows version wallet"

post no2
"The xxxcoin will be listed in the xxx exchange in two days"

And so on...

How these kind of posts are consider to be bumps?
I agree with OP and I think that they are real updates

Its always been a rule to delete old bumps. Updates can be edited into the OP. Separate updates can look like bumps which is likely why they were deleted.

Either edit your updates into the OP or the post underneath the OP.
