This is very cool. An old school buy and sell of crypto asset via ebay.

It's good to see that there are still honest buyers and sellers out there.

I recently concluded my very first peer to peer trade myself (with no escrow).
I advertised in a Telegram group if there's anyone interested. I gave the opportunity to the first one who contacted me.
We discussed the price then buyer got convinced that I ain't a scammer, sent me eth I needed, then I sent the eth token he wanted.

It felt good as trades like these somehow restores your faith in humanity - a complete trade between buyer and seller located halfway around the globe that is anonymous and peer to peer. Discussion, Agreement, Delivery and Settlement all completed in a few hours.

I just popped back here to give you info in case anybody is interested in how the sale went, and to have a bit of a moan.

All 18.9 coin sold when the value was at £850, I accepted £700 and the transaction couldn't have been any easier really.
1The buyer did a bank transfer to me.
2.Then we communicated by email and he told me the information he needed to accesses the coin remotely,
3.Then I just put the empty ledger nano in the post to him.
Everybody is happy :-)

Moan – I am just an old bloke who years ago meet a couple named Max & Stacy who were in the business of promoting cripto on a TV show. They convinced me this cripto stuff  was something worth supporting so brought litecoin and bitcoin - WoW that was good advice because the prices rocketed.

I still have light coin and physical bitcoin left and will probably sell more in the future. If so I would like to come here and tell you again in case anybody here is interested.

I feel I must say that the last time I came here selling bitcoin I found a forum of really nice helpful friendly people. But this time selling litecoin I feel in the posts above a couple hinted that I may be a scam merchant. This is a little unpleasant but I think I understand really you are all looking out for each other and that is a good thing.
The thing that really peevs me off is one of your members started private messaging me here in the forum saying they will buy the litecoin but wouldn't give a price, just kept asking for my telegram. I didn't know what he meant and explained when I was a boy a telegram was a paper message the postman would deliver in a hurry.
Basically I got told I am to stupid to be on this forum or have any cripto :-(

I want to say everybody has different skills and it is very true that technology is NOT one of mine.
I would never try to belittle people who don't have the skills I do have.

Rant over.

Fair points made,
well if anybody buys it they will have their prefer way to do it and I guess i can work it out with them. I hope its somebody close enough to meet with and then make sure everybody is happy.

To be honest the way prices are now I doubt a sale will happen

The fact of the matter is that if you're willing to send out the nano where there's a possibility of someone charging back (i.e. eBay or PayPal) then I don't see the issue with holding it in escrow - that is, a middleman - for the sale of the Litecoins.

If you're skeptical I'd understand. After all, trusting someone random on the forum to hold your funds seems ridiculous but it's no more ridiculous than having someone potentially take your litecoins and then do some buyer protection reversal off PayPal.

It's really not hard, or a big deal. You can find infos here on the various forum escrows and how it works by clicking on the thread link for their service(s). I'm sure there are more as well.

Ps  you can see from my ebay account I have over 1000 positive feed backs so perhaps I shouldn't sound like a scam man :-)

If nobody here is interested in buying without escrow then I suppose I wasted my time coming here, I dont have any idea what escrow is and im probably far to old to learn.

Honestly im happy just selling things in the normal ebay way, sorry

anyway im off to bed now ill look back tomorrow
All the best

Well if you check my previous on this forum you will see I have sold physical bit coin for 13 thousand pounds and that was all completed with out any scam
From what I see, that was an eBay sale. If necessary, we could walk you through how to use the Ledger Nano to sign the Litecoin address.

Alternatively you can also send out a very small amount so we know that you do in fact have the Litecoins, which might be easier for you. If you're willing to sell the LTC by way of escrow then I'm sure many buyers would be happy to jump on the deal. However, buying the LTC through sale of the Ledger is definitely not something that any one of us here are willing to do.

Cheers.

Well if you check my previous on this forum you will see I have sold physical bit coin for 13 thousand pounds and that was all completed with out any scam, also you will see I know nothing about cripto, I just brought stuff years ago without knowing about it, so I can send it any way you like but somebody will need to teach me how, if you buy it its up to you how its delivered,
and if you pay in paypal you do have some protection, or ill meet you and wait until you are happy.
Its all good

Very bad timing – im putting price down on the sale as we go.

Yes pamphlet all good , You can check it all out with me at the time if you wish

2 transactions, 1 for the nano and one for the Litecoin over the counter.  Escrow should be required.  Any other way this is done is meant to be a scam.

If you would so kindly sign the address of which the Litecoins are situated (or at least the higher-carrying one of them) then I am sure that prospective buyers would have more faith in your sincerity. Perhaps only marginally, but that would get us started on whether or not this is a serious deal. After which, we can then buy the Litecoin and Ledger separately. Smiley

Why not just send the LTC to the buyer via, I don't know, the ledger and the blockchain?

This seems like quite a reasonable way to do it!

Its very hard for me to believe this isnt...... Dare i say it.... A skam!

Bad idea for anyone to consider buying this without escrow.  The backup seed created for this Nano allows anyone to spend at any point.
