You're right! But aside from that, techinical issues are another reasons preventing Ethereum blockchain to be the future.of cryptocurrency. These issues can be solved as technology grows rapidly. However, the issue of scam projects are still hanging.

The issue of the scam icos in ethereum is going to be with us for a long time, after all this is a decentralized market, the ethereum developers cannot do anything about what the scammers do with their network, so it's possible that the problem of scam icos in ethereum is never going to disappear and that is sad because ethereum is a decent coin.

If those ico's out there would grant a serious projects and bring a good outcome it wouldn't be this way that ETH could suffer from the ups and down but still i believe in ETH since it is the second top coins in marketcap.

More than 50 percent of the altcoins are developed upon ERC20 platform and Ethereum value will keep on increasing because of it demand. In theory you are correct, but that is the problem it is only a theory, ETH has made easier for scammers to create projects without any value, and a group of developers that have the necessary requirements and talent in order to create a project that is actually useful do not need to do it in top of another coin, they can create their own blockchain and create their own code and market their project, so the developers ETH is supposed to help do not really need that help at all.

The problem is not on ETH (or any other blockchain) - the problem is that there are still no good applications of blockchain technology in real life. Most businessmen don't understand why blockchain should be applied if the currently used soft works accurately.

Bitcoin disproves that claim easily, besides you did not answer my main point why do we need ETH at all? A good developer does not really need ETH to develop its project they can do it on their own, the only ones that are benefited by ETH are those that have no talent and need help to develop their projects and people like that will never develop something great.

Just a question, what great coin has appeared that uses the ethereum network? There are some valuable tokens out there but to date the predictions about new and important apps appearing over the ethereum network has not happened and I have great doubts that such a project is going to be released over it, if the developers are talented enough to create a great project why would they do it above the network of someone else, why not create their own network?

Just imagine what will be the cost of transactions in the Ethereum chain when its price grows up to 2000-2800. It will be too costly to use it. So there are big limitations to scale.

In my own opinion, even though the ico or the project is successful due to the coins that has been reached the hard cap, it will be still depending on the ico if they are going to distribute the reward because there are some scam icos today.

Many fraudulent ICO projects in recent months and most are new investors to this market. I think psychology can have a big impact on them because they are feeling depressed about this market and are more inclined to leave this market.

In my own opinion, even though the ico or the project is successful due to the coins that has been reached the hard cap, it will be still depending on the ico if they are going to distribute the reward because there are some scam icos today.

I think you should not buy and invest in ETH, you can see that the market is constantly fluctuating and difficult to guess, bitcoin prices are constantly adjusting and fluctuating very strong, so to be able to Successful trading is very difficult, bitcoin prices will likely continue to fall sharply and ETH's price will continue to fall deeper. At present, ETH is adjusting around 200 $ so it is very risky if you continue to invest in ETH.

I agree, with how the ETH platform have been used by so much Erc20 tokens and numbers of development in the ETH blockchain, It must have been surpassed Bitcoin by now, but no it didnt. Also, the growing supply deprives the capability of ETH.

Ethereum is a great platform and the technology of enabling people to develop smart contracts has made Ethereum one of the top most used blockchain platform all over the internet. This has created a positive impact on the price of ether. No doubt that Ethereum will be further developed in the future and with that there will be many more projects that will be developed over the Ethereum platform. Hence the price of ether will surely increase a lot in the future.

It makes ethereum really important and quite the king of all altcoins and even make people use eth-alts on exchanges instead of btc-alts but still bitcoins huge affect on news media and papers and almost everywhere type of reach is so high that it would require a lot more to catch bitcoin than you might think.

For example people who get into ICO and invest into some new coin with their ethereum tokens and what not are already interested people, they know bitcoin, they know ethereum, they know what ICO they are investing and so forth, they are already in the market. However there are a lot of people who have heard about bitcoin and never heard about ethereum in the world, the elderly and the unitiated all heard bitcoin but not eth.

Indeed, I don't see Ethereum as the king of the cryptocurrency as it just always follow the bitcoin's movement or behavior in the market. Ethereum can become a layer (as the Internet in 1998) based on which good businesses will appear. Of course, 80-90% of the start-ups build on ethereum blockchain will die but 10-20% will survive (as it was in 2000x with Amazon and other survivors)

i agree with the op . etherium is not really the future of all cryptos because bitcoin is the real one that is the future of all cryptos . not just cryptos but also to all types and kinds of payment system and currencies .

For now no one can supersede Bitcoin not even the Ethereum because Bitcoin already build a deep foundation of trust among the people as most trusted crypto investment in which it doesn't need a commodity to attract more people to invest. Except if Vitalik Buterin will be successful to increase the transaction speed of Ethereum of up to 1 million per second then maybe Bitcoin will be replace because more and more ICOs will use the Ethereum platform to their investments.

For now no one can supersede Bitcoin not even the Ethereum because Bitcoin already build a deep foundation of trust among the people as most trusted crypto investment in which it doesn't need a commodity to attract more people to invest. Except if Vitalik Buterin will be successful to increase the transaction speed of Ethereum of up to 1 million per second then maybe Bitcoin will be replace because more and more ICOs will use the Ethereum platform to their investments.

And all of that project was successfully given big profit to their investor. But also many third party use it to make fraud, so we should be looking for solution together to solve this problem. I think it would be just up to the platform if they would accept ETH as a payment option or not because I believe that if they would just tweaked the system for a bit, you can use ETH as payment option because they can still convert it to your currency anyway. Other platforms though accept ETH as payment option because it is cheaper than BTC most of the time as there are times when it becomes expensive when the network is clogged.

Having an easier way to just have a token without regulation just makes the scammers have more opportunity to scam people hiding behind those paid whitepapers, websites and other things needed to implement an ICO that would let them raise funds and run away with it. There are genuine ERC-20 coins that has good projects but because of those scam ones, maybe half of them or more, it has tarnished its reputation.

What transactions exactly are you talking about? Do you mean ICOs and Bounties, because ETH is what’s normally being used in those kind of projects etc. But that’s not even a reason for ETH to take over, number one will always be the number one.

Ethereum and the rest of these altcoins like they are called are just alternatives for Bitcoin but they are not the main. And when we are talking about cryptocurrency the main thing we talk about is Bitcoin and nothing else.

But that's the problem, its like 10% of the project being born at legit however, only a few has real life usage. And the rest either duplicate or not a unique so it will eventually died out and purely for pump-and-dump purpose or likely a scam ICO.

The duration of time does not really matter. Lets not forget that cryptocurrency has faced and still facing FUD and majority of it falls on bitcoin because it has existed far beyond altcoin. ERC20 tokens are running only on the Ethereum Blockchain and in order for them to be transferred, you must use ETH. There are some ERC20 tokens that have a potential for the future. Progress based on value or market cap? It is a big space and for sure ETH could somehow bypass BTC but do not forget ETH also have some competition to deal with. It is a good thing that ETH is maximally used for smart contracts and the birth of tokens will always give it a good boost but as it is, any token can always get to rebrand anyways if you know what I mean.

There are number of ICO under ETH blockchain and some become scam which decline it's value and public image but still it has potential to be one of the most profitable and valuable altcoin in future as many institutions will accept it as payment system under blockchain technology. With improved technology and new developments it's issues will be solved. The transactions fees are low but it's not a major point because still btc has its importance and faith in huge mass which cannot be underestimated and more investment will be made boosting it's price. So there can be competition between both these top most coins.

Your point is quite relevant. But Bitcoin is the topmost cryptocurrency in the crypto market and has the highest market capitalization. Ethereum, no doubt, is the second highest crypto currency after Bitcoin but its market capitalization is far less than Bitcoin. The difference between the market capitalizations of both the coins is huge and I don’t think so that a small transaction fee can eliminate that difference.

Indeed the ethereum platform is suitable for those who want to use great technology into an innovative concept, but you know there are still many who are trapped in project fraud, even there from those who got high rate on the rating site and using ERC20 also scams, for me ETH has many flaws to be the future of all crypto.

Ethereum is the most practical coin in the cryptocurrency market that I know of, which is why ETH has received so much support from investors around the world. I also bought quite a lot of ETH during the downturn and I think it is a good investment.

Okay so what are you pointing out here?
There is a lot of good ICO created under Erc20 and I have seen some of those.
So does that mean Ethereum should be the best?
Helll they forked Bitcoin and got Bitcoin Cash and it got more valuable than ETH.

Even if it can be used with those kind of service it doesnt meam it should rlgain its value just like that. We need more reason than just that.

Well in fact it is the future, and it will be because as you said ethereum has many project under its name and that is something that no other cryptoucurency was able to do which give the opportunity to developers to create and bring new ideas that can change our world and make thing way easier, but like bitcoin etehreum or at least ICOs are facing some heavy regulations that are slowing its progression and development.

What all the ERC-20 stuff has ably proven is that if a single one of these projects actually became used by the real world in real world numbers ETH would fall apart.

Crypto kitties fucked it for a while. There's been talk of this weird Fcoin exchange mining via trading and pushing up fees. And now there's talk of EOS intentionally screwing with it too as it's now a competitor.

I think ETH is a proof of concept. As it is it's a cool project that is not capable of handling prime time just like everything else.

I agree ETH itself is the second biggest coin in the market behind bitcoin just for these reasons. Litecoin was the second biggest coin for years and it was silver to bitcoins gold but for a while now ETH has been the second biggest coin. It does have other usefull stuff but mostly the only reason eth is high is the token deal for other ICO deals. With the new tokens not worthing as much and people are afraid of going in the ICO's compared to a year ago, its harder for ETH to keep its value up.

The better ICO's and coins coming out of ETH the higher ETH will worth. People usually buy bitcoin directly first to buy other stuff, same goes for people who buy ETH first to get into a token. Better the market all around better ETH will be.

There is no problem if Ethereum isn't a scam. ETH is a coin with a second place that has proven itself in the market. No one wants scam projects to be, but there is absolutely a deception everywhere that there is human's finger. I don't think these projects have damaged the image of ETH. We have not seen good projects affect as good as to ETH.

Unfortunately, because of those so-called "shit projects", Ethereum will suffer, anyone including scammers can create a token and in my opinion, that will eventually destroy Ethereums ability to take on Bitcoin. Maybe something like NEO will eventually take Bitcoin on but I don't think anyone will take Bitcoin on anytime soon.

Indeed. It is also true that most of the scam ICO always get the ETH itself in trouble. I mean how easy it is, get the funds raised in the ETH form, then go scam and dump the same ETH in the market for whatever prices they get and run away. There goes your ETH in the valley and thus kills the fun out of it. I think it is the way the market will keep working for the ETH at least and thus more emission of the ETH will kill its price someday. You cant really have it that on the track always. So just think about it twice, whether it is able to surpass the bitcoin in future that way or not?

For any ICO's that are created in todays date wont necessarily need to have ETH as the payment solutions. Now the time has changed and people can literally buy the ICO tokens during the ICO phase with other crypto currencies too as well as with Fiat too. May be this has divided the whole thing and thus ETH is not the preferred system to pay anymore as people know that Gwei fees and Gas fees are too high at the time of ICO sales. So we cat truly say that it is helping the ETH platform in anyways for that purpose.

I think the greater the likelihood of bitcoin is greater than all crypto coins because the bitcoin only has the largest suction supply and the bitcoin is much more known in ethereum.

I think that this will be solved by time. I think that in my first year of crypto I didn't really know what I was doing with it, but now being here almost six years, I have created some gut feeling where I can see projects that actually create value to the customer in some sense. My opinion in crypto is to have all kinds of it, those that inflate, deflate, are centralized, and decentralized, etc... I guess it is another "time will tell" situation
