I call my mother 1-2 times a month. Most of the time my mother call me.

I call them about 2-3 times a month. And I visit them every 3 - 4 months for a weekend

I live in a different country and I email a couple times a month. I usually call once a month but sometimes don’t at all ,sometimes I call more if there is a birthday or I need something done for me
My mom guilt trips me into talking."I just hope you say everything you want because someday I'll be gone and you'll look back and ask why we didn't talk more often..."
I update g+ with baby pictures and tell them I hope they’re doing well when they comment
I don’t feel too bad though. my brother in law lives in a different city but comes into town (where his parents still live) for business a few times a year. He doesn’t call or stop by pretty nice guy and he cares about his mom, he just doesn’t really seem to like seeing her

My father can't talk (throat cancer) so we email/Facebook almost daily. I visit 1-3 times a month. I barely speak to my mother. Maybe once a month if she's lucky.

You are fucking lucky TrailingComet that's for sure, I don't necessarily hate my parents, but I do want to have an ocean between me and them as fast as possible so it costs a lot for them to contact me or visit me.

I know what you did here! You started this thread to try to get under my skin knowing full well that both my parents are in urns side-by-side atop a cabinet. Note to self: They probably need dusting off.

When I was across the country probably talked to every 2 weeks, texted/emailed mom most days, she relayed to dad. Now I see then ~2 weeks as they can drive 40 min and we meet half way or I hop up. still text and or email most days.

My parents live in another country. I usually call them once a week, and if I forget, I get a guilt trip message from my mom. Now, it's a bit more frequent because if she doesn't hear from me after a few days, she'll assume I've gone into labor.
