That's a great tutorial, but im not familiar with the application that you are using. I've tried using Recuva and some other software, which really recover the files when it is deleted or even if it is lost.

There are some applications that need to be paid in order to recover files, but I'm sure that there is the free one that still works great, I didn't use all of the recovery application by there are some application that could recover or files that are deleted easily. Most of the time it is going to take a lot of time just finding the file that is deleted at some point.

Its always better to have backups of your files even in a Flashdrive so that when your hard drive or storage has some issue you still have a copy of it.
I also used recuva to recover files and the software that op use tried it too. I did some mistake and I lost my file in other device so I have to recover it later when I am not busy. Did you tried to recover files on android phones. I have some files that is accidentally deleted since my old phone is malfunctioning so I need to recover some files before it is completely broken?.

I don't have the experience to use that software, but I used the GetDataBack from runtime.org and easeus.com.
If you want to get every data from a formatted hard disk drive, I think you should use the Pro version because the Free software won't give you a chance to fully recovered all of your data.
But I don't know if that software allows you to recover all of the data, and if that is happens, I think that software can be recommend for people who lost their data while they format their hard disk.
I agree that we need to have a backup for our important data, so if we lost some data, we could recover it from other devices.

I need this kind of application to retrieve files that I have lost. The files I want to recover is not related to cryptocurrency but to my current work.
I am not fully aware that there could be a system like this created for this purpose. Since I have the idea now then I have somehow hopes in retrieving the files I lost. I am thankful for this information. It give me idea too to try to retrieve important files lost rather than redoing the work. I should back up important files in other saving device as othera too had mention.

Of course, this whole topic could be read the other way round: If you do not format your hard drive properly, your wallet or other files could be recovered by a third-party who you give or sell your hard drive to.

Say you change your laptop, and decide to give sell your hard drive for some bucks. Depending on what wallets and passwords you were using, it may give a foe a possibility to gain access to your assets. Not necessarily easy, but also not fool proof, lest you use some sort of software to wipe your disk, overwriting all the sectors with content (random, 00 and FF are usual options).

You own the pen
I am very certain that this can be an option for recovering files from a formatted hard drive or USB because I already used this software long ago. but the only files it recovered are those files that have less size. It's ok since we are in the Crypto industry, the files that we often need are a small size which will be recovered if lost in some accidental circumstances but not always 100%. at least, you have some way to recover it.

An important note. The data can be recover provided its not overwritten. I once spend hours writing a script then accidently overwritten it with a new script, no data recovery software could ever recover it. Ouch. Cry

Last but not least, if you already have your husband/ wife/ children, you should let such info into one of them, just in case when you get unexpected accident. It does not make sense for any of your time, efforts to collect BTC -- from trading, investment, but at the ends you can neither get financial benefits from it nor your loved ones.

Risks of using third-party softwares, especially pirated/ hacked softwares are pointed out by @DdmrDdmr. You should have a warning for such risks at beginning of your OP.
Yes, I am pretty aware of it but this is just the last resort since I have left no option but to recover the files that was deleted. Thank you for the insights for I have just realize how important to back up the docs that I should need. I agree too that being careful in the internet for malware attack. Anyway, i tried already uninstalling the application after I recover the data needed.

I don't know how good the software is but you should know and remember that your life (your capital) should not be put on working capacity of any software. Being careless and rely on softwares might cause your capital loss.

Some points to support your OP:
  • Always backup your crypto important details: for wallets (private key - Bitcoin Core, mnemonic seed - Electrum, and password, PIN number)
  • Test the validity of backup before you actually begin to use that wallet. It sucks if you believe in your incorrect backup (with typo in private key or seed)
  • Backup (will be best) should be made in multi files and store in some different methods and places.
  • Backup should not be stored online. You should never use your devices for daily works to store your backups.

Been using data recovery for my things back in the day when I was none the wiser, right now I am being smart about it, I always put a backup of important files. I highly recommend that you guys use cloud storages and offline storages (thumb drive, memory stick, memory card), this saved my ass so many times and I can never recommend it enough.

Nice information given so far to the benefit of users and how sure are you that wondershare is a perfect one. I have come across many lost data file discovery mechanisms that functions the same as the one explained.
How about recovering lost data from a phone after a file mistakingly got deleted? I have been a victim of user that deleted a file containing my private keys in a phone, Is there a possibility of recovering that file using wondershare or any available mechanisms?
USB and other external drive or saving device could be recover. I think it will because phone has also its storage or saving device. Just connect your phone and scan. I think it could get the deleted data of your phones.
It's quite good that you share this information and this will be very useful if you happen to delete your seed phrase, keys and other wallet information because wondershare can recover deleted files. Anyway, I have something to add in this guide about recovering the lost data. Before recovering just make sure to use the other local drive or hard disk to store the restored files. If the files that you recover is in local disk C then better save it on local disk d.
I am not pretty sure if it really needed to that like installing the set up to a different partition or hard drive. I am not really always using the application and this was the second time I run the set up and always work successful. Anyway, next time I will try to do the advise but hopefully no more important files to be deleted.
Can we use the full recovery options even in a standard version? I mean, most recovery programs can dig to your files but you need to pay premiums (although there might be crack versions already available on the internet but needs time to search for legit and working)?
No, there is no a full recovery option in the set up. It will only work on selected a certain drive to recover and has limited size of files (MB) to recover and even in the newer version still no full recovery option.

Check it and see if it will work.

Just connect the phone to your PC. It will now create a directory wherein the recovery app can detect your phone's drive.

If you are trying to recover from an external SD card, you can use a card reader instead if ever the phone is not detected by the app. But if that's a system data loss (for example, you note your private keys to a notes application), I doubt it can be recovered.

Just a couple of observations:

- Although the procedure may work, and is a good enough last resort, it is that, a last resort. Keeping your 12/24 word mnemonic well backed-up and placed somewhere safe (obviously not on the computer itself) is the essential step to allow recovery.

- Do not resort to downloading a pirated version of the software. Installing hacked software is a great gateway to malware, and that would defeat the purpose if malware is indeed installed on your device as a result.

- It goes without saying, that these things do not always work, and depend on many factors to be successful (how you formatted the disk, what you’ve reinstalled since (not so much the what, but the volume), etc.). I recall trying to recover some digital photos years ago, after a similar urge to reformat and start afresh, only to repent for my sins in not having established a proper backup procedure at the time (meaning I did not recover them).

I am not certain that this could be helpful but I would like to share what had happen to the deleted document that I save in my laptop on the details of my digital wallet for bitcoin like the seed phrase, private and public keys, and to altcoin digital wallet as well specifically the MyEtherWallet.

My Laptop was so slow and decided to reformat the system and I was not careful to back up the data save in it includes the digital wallet details. I thought I am going to lose some of my funds to which some of it store in the online wallets and exchange wallet ready to trade.
However, I remember a certain application that I bought before that could recover deleted files. I know where the files located because I have always access those files every trade I made so what I am doing is to recover the said files in the partition drive of my laptop.

How did I recover it?

I was using the wondershare data file recovery. I never thought that it was still working because this application was an old version. The new version of this application could be downloaded in this link https://recoverit.wondershare.com/data-recovery.html  as I made a quick search in Google.
I look into my external drive and look for the application to start it installing and run the setup. I have made some screenshot and this is what happen after installing the program.

Three methods of Data Recovery

Before recovering just make sure to use the other local drive or hard disk to store the restored files. If the files that you recover is in local disk C then better save it on local disk d.
An important note. The data can be recover provided its not overwritten. I once spend hours writing a script then accidently overwritten it with a new script, no data recovery software could ever recover it. Ouch. Cry
