In this new report Bellingcat examines satellite images released by the Russian Ministry of Defence as part of the July 21st 2014 press conference on the downing of Flight MH17.

The Russian MoD stated at the press conference that the satellite photos show the activities of Ukraine’s air defences on the day that Flight MH17 was shot down.

In particular, the position of two Ukrainian Buk missile launchers south of the village Zaroschinskoe were shown to be within firing range of MH17. The Bellingcat investigation has found the following –

– Satellite images presented by the Russian Ministry of Defence claiming to shown Ukrainian Buks linked to the downing of MH17 on July 14th and 17th are in fact older images from June 2014.
– The discrepancies visible in the Russian MoD satellite map imagery which shows they are incorrectly dated are visible in publicly available imagery on Google Earth.
– Error level analysis of the images also reveal the images have been edited.
– This includes a Buk missile launcher that was removed to make it appear the Buk missile launcher was active on July 17th, and imagery where Buk missile launchers were added to make it appear they were within attack range of Flight MH17.

When proof of false & fake information is showed ... the best reply is the lie.

Proof again that Russian lie ??

Take this picture (of army base A-1428), which the Russian Defense Ministry claimed was taken on July 14 :
http://stat.multimedia.mil.ru/images/military/military/photo/mh17_brief_04-900.jpg
Note that in the left upper corner there is a patch of trees visible, with a corridor in between.

Now open up GoogleEarth, and enter these coordinates in the search field :
” 48° 5’53.45″N, 37°45’14.80″E”
That leads you right to army base A-1428.
Then open GoogleEarth’s “history” tool, and step back to the July 2 image.

And notice that the trees are MISSING, and thus these were removed BEFORE July 2!
If you step back further in the GoogleEarth history tool, you find the patch of trees with corridor in the June 19 image, and even further back, in the May 30 image the corridor is not there yet.

So the image from the Russian Defense Ministry was taken between May 30 and July 2.

And thus the Russian Defense Ministry lied when they stated the picture was taken on July 14.

Wish all the respect of all people died in this terrible shouted down crash plane.
