It seems that the difficulty of mining did change a little. But the prices are still high. For example, ETH is still near $824.

May be a silly question. All the coins have dropped substantially, but why isn't the mining difficulty change much? Yeah, the miners are about millions in numbers, but price change would have made them to switch over to a different coin or so, which should have reduced the hashing power per coin. The difficulty in fact has sky rocketed for some coins in the past 2 days. Somebody please help me understand.
