The text file I deleted was actually on a thumb drive, but yes I get the point. Thanks.

May I suggest you to send the seed to your online email service?
You won't ever lose it that way and it should be well guarded if you don't use crappy providers.

Shew, recovered. I used file recovery software to recover the text file my original seed was in. Thanks, sorry for posting in wrong forum.

I'am glad that you was able to recover it however don't do this anymore mate , seed is basically made so it's not stored in your PC because if your PC gets hacked , you are lost for good .
It's better to print it or type it on a piece of paper and hide it very well so no body found it .

That is a problem since the wallet file will be encrypted and the master public key will not be particularly useful. Unless you used a simple password, I don't think those coins will be recoverable. If you remember some of your password or have an idea what it could be, then there are services which will recover your wallet password for you. Otherwise, I think those coins are gone forever.

BTW, this belongs in the Electrum section where they may be able to help you more.

Don't have my seed either. I have MPK and the digital wallet file. Can anyone help?
