forkdelta was earlier than uniswap, why this exchange was not in demand on the dex hype is still a mystery to me.
The mechanism was so crap and you can put your buy or sell order on whatever the price you want. that makes a lot of people didn't even feel confidence with it and that's why this exchange site is full with manipulation for anytokens that traded on fork delta.Uniswap was using different mechanism that's even better than it.

Well, I could argue scam tokens on uniswap are no less. It's just that user has to be careful and double check contract address - it helped against scam tokens on fd too and works on any other dex.

Uniswap uses liquidity and fd matches buyer/seller - they use different mechanisms and I wouldn't say bad to either of them.

I think that OP must not be surprised to see that the transaction fees was so high. Ethereum network will never give low transaction fees right now.

There were times when Forkdelta was considered one of the first dex exchanges where almost any token could be sold if there was demand. To date, the Ethereum network is very expensive to use forkdelta.By the way, forkdelta was earlier than uniswap, why this exchange was not in demand on the dex hype is still a mystery to me.

Hi everyone,

Back in 2018/19, I have been using EtherDelta and ForkDelta intensively.
Now EtherDelta is pretty much dead, while ForkDelta still appears to be operational.

Could someone be so kind and provide some insight into the following:

1. Is there a minimal withdrawal limit on ForkDelta?

2. Can you still do transfers to external wallets?

3. What about the transaction fees on ForkDelta?

Currently, the gas price is around 90-130 Gwei (= meaning a transaction on MEW costs about 9-10 USD),

but in some guy’s YouTube video it said the price per transaction on ForkDelta would be be 0.035 ETH?!
https://imgur.com/a/Z9asNba
– which would equal like 150 USD?! Is that even real?

Like 2 years ago, a transaction would cost like 3-5 USD and now it’s 150 dollars?

Or am I getting something wrong?

Have any of you guys been using ForkDelta successfully?

I would really appreciate some insight regarding the questions raised in 1-3.

Thank you ^^

Forkdelta was almost the same with Etherdelta actually, its a mistake for me why I decided to buy some of the coins over using
this exchange, though its not that of capital in which I had used to this DEX platform. Lucky for me if the price will get higher
in the future. But honestly, I treated as dead actually. And that transaction fee is really insane dude 0.035ETH is not a joke amount
honestly speaking.

0.035 eth is quite alot for moving tokens around! I feel for projects such as ethereum the transaction (gas) fees are depriving it of any growth because most of us crypto users will holdout to avoid paying the exorbitant fees which are much lower on other blockchains...
With this high fee applied i dont think its forkdelta charging but rather the demand of the miners services that is dictating the fees which is same even on other platforms.

I have lot of token on ETH wallet which i have decided to leave for a long term for the token/coin keep appreciating but lately i found out most of the project are dead and my balance is no longer appealing and pleasing, now the reason why didn't trade those token was at the cost of high gas price which led me leave it. i really give less attention to project under ETH network, though those on CEX can only be bought and stored on the exchange without withdrawal but in terms of moving to external wallet is incurring another significant charges.

Its a decentralized exchange so the gas fee depends on the traffic on the blockchain, currently ETH is facing the fee issue for a while and constantly its stuck around 100 USD for DEX so ues you have to pay that fee if you want to take your funds from there.
After I checked my wallet in Forkdelta there is an asset that has been sent to Forkdelta then I want to take it back will my tokens be returned even though ETH fees are high?
Does this mean that this DEX exchange can still be trusted to withdraw its tokens? Has anyone had success with this issue?
I really want to know feedback from other people before I do it.

This is the current situation, high gas fee on eth network is making transaction in that network unbeatable, the other day I tried to swap some erc20 I have inside metamask, the possible transaction quote given to me was close to $200 just to swap this tokens, I couldn't do it since I don't have that much eth to cover transaction fees.

And also I want to remind you that many people says their withdrawal stuck even after paying the fee on forkdelta so make sure the amount you are going to withdraw is worth the risk of 150 dollars or not.

the fordelta exchange is an exchange whose transaction fees are so high we better leave it
and now many exchanges and swap services which may be more efficient

There's no minimal withdrawal limit on forkdelta but i should remind you that if it will be only - fees that must be paid to the network.
2. Can you still do transfers to external wallets?
I can. You can transfer it in any ethereum wallet.
3. What about the transaction fees on ForkDelta?[/b]

that's not even real when you're wanna withdrawing your ERC20 token from etherdelta to the your ethereum wallet. That being said that if the fees on etherdelta will be following the current fees on ethereum blockchain.
Like 2 years ago, a transaction would cost like 3-5 USD and now it’s 150 dollars?
likely no, https://etherscan.io/gastracker the big fees was only being applied for the swap service and etherdelta was not a swap service platform. You may be charged around $40 for a single transaction for ERC20 in forkdelta.
Or am I getting something wrong?
maybe you're following wrong guy
Have any of you guys been using ForkDelta successfully?
i have been retired from using fork delta in 2019

Are you still thinking to trade there? I've also seen the best days of forkdelta and they're one of the known dexes before. But this time, it's likely that it's been dead totally.
Don't waste your time trading there because even a simple FAQ of its website is no longer working.
https://forkdelta.app/about/#faq
Remembered that they are the copied site of Etherdelta which is known to be a popular Dex wayback and transfer to Forkdelta
Dont know if they are still working but ive see several issues and comments about for it not to be working.

I cant trust up on importing my keys on this one already. We already have some new dex around.
Yeah, better not import your keys/wallet there. It's no use, this website is totally dead if not, almost! Everyone has been warned with this and that's why if there's still some others who are interested to trade in here, you should be aware that it's almost dead.
There's a tendency that your fund might be lost.

1. Is there a minimal withdrawal limit on ForkDelta?

2. Can you still do transfers to external wallets?

3. What about the transaction fees on ForkDelta?

1. You could set on what amount you would prefer but expect that the lower on suggested fees will really get your transaction stuck or confirmed for long time.

2. When using DEX you are inputting or attaching   your own wallet which means that whatever you've been buying or selling will directly
be reflected into that wallet itself.

3. Fees varies on network condition whether its clogged or not really much traffic at all.

The fee situation depends a lot on the network. Not sure how FD contract change over the years but if there's no upgrade to reduce the fee to interact with the contract then I won't be surprised if the fees are ridiculous. Even a simple TX from one wallet to another might cost $20, so it's not that surprising if you use a DEX to trade/swap.
