because all four games have fans and users, which, if combined may reach tens of millions user. I think this is a good step, and it would be better if other games joined in using betting platform
yes is a very good step for a big global adoption as far as I know Dota has applied the blockchain system but the continuation of them I dont know ,is not interested in playing any game so the development until now did not know.

Fortnite entering in blockhain space will be the biggest news for adoption, Imagine they tokenizing every skin or costumes in their game, People will be buying, selling and collecting their favorite skins. It'll happen eventually.
Biggest news you said? You should take a look at the article before you wanna create any post about that. that article has already created to promote the e-sport platforms were listed a few popular games on its platform.
That news is not about the direct adoption that comes from the big names just like fortnite. I hope that you can be more careful to read anything before you wanna post something about that.
Fortnite never stated if the company will support crypto. I guess that the company doesn't even know if there was an e-sport platform was adopting crypto as one of its betting pair.
If fornite was adopting crypto and fortnite will actually create an announcement on its social media.
I'm not talking about that article specifically, I'm talking about utilizing blockhain to tokenize the in-game skins < This would be the biggest news. Hopefully someday some gaming company will do it and other will follow along.

Moving the popular games into blockchain might have several issues. But we could easily build and implement new blockchain based online multiplayer games. It would have several benefits to the traditional gaming but also need to find a way to counter some problems that are constantly being faced by online gamblings like unofficial modding and manipulation.
The subject includes almost all popular online gaming, this may take a lot of time before they can eventually accept crypto as they all already doing well without it, it may open deeper problems at first but will sure be solved after while. No doubt one of this days we can see them accepting crypto but the question will be the players are willing to switch in crypto or not knowing that some gambling sites have been into many issues, will the online gaming community will get a support in the platform they will be operating with.

if it really happens maybe players can invest their goods, for example to be sold in the marketplace. will be big news especially if it happens to dota, players can play games and invest their items if the blockchain system really gets into the game

e-Sport is usually mostly fans are children, there are also adults but I don't think it will make a mass adoption
I have seen several crypto projects that partner with e-sport games but they have had little impact on the project
It is indeed that fans are mostly childrens, but there are also countless numbers of adult gamers in the gaming industry. Even a child can top up in e-sport games and it is enough to increase the demand in addition to adult gamers which is the possible target market of the technology. For now, it does not affect crypto, but after the long run adoption will increase rapidly and it is expected to happen.
now e-sport is a promising activity, plus users can be a variety of people. maybe the best target will be adults but some kids can also make targets and targets can indeed be expected for the future and I think the game is not just a trend but has become a commodity in the community

What do you guys think about e-sports? Do you think it will help bring in mass adoption? I think with the amount of gamers on those 4 platforms alone this could help mass adoption for crypto in the gaming market.
Definetely yes because e-sports is a hobby for young people and crypto is created for young people that are skilled in computer technologies. When they accept and popularize cryptocurrencies then it could have a great impact on the whole industry. Imagine if something similiar happens to these games what happened to PornHub. They will be pushed to use cryptocurrencies and people will begin to realize the real power of cryptocurrencies.

i dont know about this, but this is very good for crypto too, to introduce via big platform. its good if they can pay something using bitcoin, and im sure people will use this. and it will be more popular if they can get crypto for playing this big game.

Personally, I think that it's unlikely to be a pre-existing title that will incorporate blockchain technology, but it will be a new intellectual property.

Something like Cyberpunk 2077 would be the perfect opportunity—particularly since the game is expected to feature cryptocurrencies as the in-game currency.

I've never heard this news before. But it would be nice to acknowledge the existence of cryptocurrencies in future games.

But I think the blockchain technologies are meant to be the infrastructure of the games. Or the currency exchanged in these games is the cryptocurrency.

I find the possibility to exchange these cryptocurrencies in-game platforms is more doable. And I believe it would be a pretty good start. Therefore, platforms such as Steam can take a critical step by accepting cryptocurrencies.

Yes you're right. There are lots of gamers on those platforms and gamers are really quick when it comes to adopting stuff like this. Though I'm thinking about how many of them will be ready to hold Bitcoin because it is volatile, those that would like to make use of cryptocurrency will mainly be using it for a purchase on the gaming site, so they might be jumping on stable coins till they get interest in holding a coin that is unstable.

Another thing is that these gaming platforms might even decide to create their own coins, because this has become the norm for most organizations these days, they all now prefers to have their own coin instead of accepting Bitcoin on their platforms. Let's wait till they are ready and they will announce what their plans are all about.

The main goal of a company is to expand and blockchain technology is only one of the few things they could try. Actually, I have thought of this before that this can happen in few years. It really makes me excited because it can make transactions in the buying stuff in the games much fasterand more efficient. Give it a little more time and I know they will launch even their own coin in the market.

i definitely think this is road to mass adoption, there is no better field to display the endless possibilities of blockchain technology than the gaming industry, and the above games mentioned are played by a large number of users, if this is actually done, many people will be introduce to crypo i hope.

I think that electronic sports are one of the most significant investments in the future.

Blockchain technology and e-sports are critical technologies that definitely need to be invested. But I don't know how right it is to move the blockchain infrastructure of e-sports, at least the games you said.

Because games like Fortnite and PUBG are played over the internet, they need mighty servers. I don't know much about this, but I don't think the blockchain is ready to build the infrastructure.

For now, small casinos are the right places for them and it is too early for the most played games in the world.

Currently, many E-sport projects have raised capital with ICOs and also apply blockchain technology and tokens as a means of payment for users.
Such games are popular in Europe and they are experimenting with the digital market. I think that in the future game companies will apply blockchain technology soon, it will make the payment very fast and convenient instead of trading via Visa or Mastercard.

from the beginning I had thoughts like that. I initially thought this would happen and expect the famous game to adopt the blockchain. I am a lover of FPS games (frames per second). I spend half of my time playing this game, initially I wanted to sell items in the game using / transactions with crypto assets, but I remember that in certain countries prohibiting transactions with crypto assets.

I'm sure these 4 games if you accept / adopt this blockchain technology are very good news and crypto will grow significantly.
There are so many volumes of gamers around the world, and your thoughts may become true if this really happens.
I am also a gamer and I can't still imagine its effect in the gaming industry and its effect on the crypto world, we should expect positive and a negative effect once this was implemented.

There is no doubt that this will definitely happen. I remember in 2017 a few gaming projects wanted to do this, it is just too much to take for a small project with limited resources. They were talking about their own platform like steam. It sounds nice but look at what you are going up against. It just didn't make sense to me why people got so excited and invest so much into the gaming projects. They invest before they even see any results.
Its crazy how some people just splash their money around mindlessly at a project just because the idea is nice or it looks pretty or promises have been made.

You will in the future be able to actually own your own items somehow. I think with erc 721 fungal tokens. That way you can bring the value of your item with you into other games or even just trade on the market for profit.

There are hundreds of millions of e-sport gaming fans, players, and supporters around the globe. Premiums, cards, loads, and other upgrades can now be bought using cryptocurrencies. Other than that, cryptocurrency betting sites are also offering odds on e-sports games. The millions of fans who are hard supporters of e-sports teams and players can now make bets on them using cryptocurrency. This is doubtless a great step toward adoption in this big industry and community.

We also hosted an esports event in Vegas with Litecoin recently.

Adoption to E-Sports and Crypto seem to be happening simultaneously lately, which is great news for fans and companies alike (of which I represent both currently Cheesy )

The idea itself is not a bad one as blockchain can really show us new horizons in online gaming and eSports. But do not forget that Blizzard, Valve and others are very large entities and they are closely linked to the public sector. The state allocates huge subsidies to these companies and the loss of this money will be fatal for the company. In order to effectively lead the blockchain system in eSports, we need the adoption of cryptocurrency at the state level.

The intention of this projects are not really disrupting the game but only to add side gambling during game matches, sports betting become popular during early days of blockchain technology and now Esports. Even it has no direct connections with game the companies, it can somehow encourage adopters specially the millennials which are fond of video gaming.

In my opinion PUBG, Fortnite, Dota 2, and other games have not yet used the blockchain. Yes they do use digital coins, but that is not cryptocurrency, because cryptocurrency must use blockchain technology as a transaction journal.
E-sports are accepting payments using credit cards and debit cards, and even game cards to add a fund to your accounts. If esports may be able to adapt from blockchain technology its possible to boost the transactions when using top-ups. It will even increase the usage of crypto that will sump up the demand that we currently have right now. It will also expand the scope and use of cryptocurrency.

I don't know how they can manage a whole game on Blockchain. PUBG mobile on such a big servers still cause many server sided lags. Plus they require huge amount of active database transfers to store starts etc. It is really not an easy task to move a multiplier game on Blockchain.

According to your narrative, blockchain has already become a part of big sports leagues like NBA, football, and cricket that happen worldwide?

The project that you shared just focuses on betting on e-sports matches using cryptocurrencies, that's it. Don't think that might increase blockchain adoption, as the only players betting on it would be the ones already involved in crypto gambling.

As others have, incorporating the cryptocurrencies into these games would definitely give blockchain a boost, but not this.

Esports or gaming industries really fit well using blockchain or crypto for their payment method.
Because the ease of access and to handle the problem that sometimes users are topped up but the "cash" is not arrived yet, they can easily look at the blockchain link.
It is not fitting well for the company who manages e-sports.
Steam decided to add bitcoin as a payment option on year 2017, it didn't run well due to high fees and the volatility of cryptocurrency. They stop using bitcoin as a payment method after realizing it. Cryptocurrency as a payment option is still undeveloped. there's a lot of flaws that needs to be fixed before it can finally become accepted even in esports industry.

The game is an important practical application of blockchain, currently it is also leading the application of blockchain technology. Blockchain provides useful tools for gamers such as decentralized asset exchanges, the ability to validate ownership of virtual assets or virtual objects in the game. Besides making payments with high speed and giving programmers the opportunity to make money from the digital products they create.
I think Game studios are realizing the potential of blockchain and will integrate more into their products.

I really like this idea and it is adopting the cryptocurrency and adoptation is really good for the community and most likely it is good and using the crypto as payment means less information are needed to make a transaction.

Hopefully they will implement and can be used it for all of the online games so it can be easy to make a game purchase without any hassle.

Too early to speak about this big games coming to Blockchain when they are pretty good with what they have now. What I do think can happen is Esports industry will have Blockchain implement into the system in some years but I think they will start with some small games to test it before moving to the big ones like those you listed on your post. Don't get me wrong I love esports too and I do think they financial boom has not been achieved ( maybe just on Dota 2 who has on TI enormous prizes ) but the rest of them just at the beginning of the road ( apex , pubg and fortnite have 2 years since they launched ) and don't forget about CS:GO as this might be the first game who makes the first step to Blockchain.

Of course the game developer must be able to create stable coins. For example, they create a diamon for purchasing items in the game, then the diamon must be stable. I think this is easy. Because now many stable coins are able to maintain exchange rates, such as USDT, USDC, and even now there are stable gold coins.
Even not a stable coin, I think this is a good idea to the gaming community. Well, you get paid while playing, this is the best feeling ever but I'm still waiting for a company that will seriously invest in this industry. I think I've seen before a project that's committed to this one but I haven't seen them for a while. Because when I forget a project, means that it's no longer interesting nor became passive.
There are so many game projects, but the concept may not be right on target. Yes, hopefully someone will run it seriously. This will be more profitable. If a game project like poker, this is a bet, so it's not right for some people.

Yes. I thought that if games like PUBG, DOTA 2, FREE FIRE adopt a blockchain system by selling UC or Diamon or creating digital coins that can be traded in general, then this will increase the income from the game. Game users can also benefit by trading their assets. But the problem is the price of these assets is not stable.
indeed it will be very profitable, but the negative side of the coin price will not be stable because cryptocurrency has a fluctuating price so that it will have an impact on the game's economy too. things that are quite difficult to apply to games that from the beginning did not use the blockchain cryptocurrency.

when somebody starts a new service like a betting platform for these games it does NOT mean these games are coming to blockchain! it only means some dude thought he could be the pioneer* and run a business to make money. it can even fail if nobody plays these betting games on his platform! so no there is no mass adoption

* the funny thing is  that it is not even the first one. there has been about 50 other gambling platforms with exact same design and same games so far. many of which have already gone under.

This is what we are waiting for those pro-player earn because they have sponsors while us amateurs only earn in games if we would put up a bet .
This is our chance to earn while playing and we could place bet in our every game.

I do not think that will allow to earn in the game. Because kama is profitable? Good for attracting new users. let's say they will earn one token for completing thousands of tasks which actually has a low cost.

Adoption Blockchain e-Commerce to World
If the projects so far have done it. So there are reasons. Because each expert in the business. People need to buy cryptocurrency and this is not just a process. Easier to pay by credit card. Yes, and banks can quickly resolve the issue. Tembolee if the cryptocurrency is not accepted at the state level, the project is required to abandon the region?

eSport is now an expanding market with worldwide audience which is growing along with the population all over. The move of the many eSport platform to use cryptocurrency can be bringing many possibilities for both of these industries. Though we should note that things will not become so rosy fast as there will be adoption period that we should be waiting as not all will immediately adopt into this choice. I am hoping that entities into this business should offer incentives for players and participants to use cryptocurrency instead of the traditional modes of transactions so that we can expect more and more adoption.

Just like others said, the e-sports industry has a lot of interested people in learning new things. Maybe it could spark more people into the cryptocurrency space that we all know and love. Additionally, the possibility of earning money with gambling in a game they know? It would be a big thing to consider.

Well, all the games you listed are huge and if it's true that all of them coming to blockchain then yes it would be a big mass adoption. E-sports base is really huge and if that really happen, i think this will be a big step.

Yes of course, e-sport will bring mass adoption to the crypto space because a lot of persons love sports and once they see it, they want to participate since it is sport, who doesn't love sport, lol.

We cannot deny the fact that the world of sport is large this days, many guys now choose sports over their girlfriend and wife's, so this won't just cause an adoption in crypto, but it will also cause a spike in the price of coins in the crypto market which is what we all await.

All I know is that I know nothing.
your account seems old but you seem to be very new to this world!

all these gambling crap has been going on for as long as bitcoin existed. there has literary been thousands of gambling sites many of which focused on these e-sports such as Dota2 and CSGO,...
they don't have anything to do with mass adoption though! people don't really care about them and don't play that much. which is why most of these gambling sites don't last that long.

That was discussing the new esport bet platform that listed all of those games, but you must see how much the demand that already acquired by that platform.
this is not related to the sport itself but only esport betting platform.

Maybe yes, since e-sports are on digital world with the same aspect as crypto. It is just a matter of which platform can lure investors to crowdfunding their projects and to have platforms to handle e-sports using blockchain.

It's not a blockchain game and NO, they are not accepting the blockchain. It's a betting site where you could bet games of your favorite game and has nothing to deal with real game experience. I think blockchain would come into gaming if Steem apps could develop better games that could be played by millions of players. Forget about the current e-sports, they might use cryptocurrency as mode of payments but unlikely to run on blockchain

It will affect mass adoption, but we do not know what size it will be. There has recently been a huge increase in this kind of projects and continues to increase. But, personally, I do not think the effect will be great. Because gamers are people who are already interested in technology and definitely they have heard about cryptocurrency.

Definitely agree that this is an outlier. Just look at how much e-sports has exploded in the past few years as well as how much they are expected to grow with the amount of revenue being spent.

According to their article the DBET model will be an easy entry point for players, they can use the Playvig model to earn coins like they normally do, then exchange those coins for DBETs. Those coins already have real value because players watch 2 very short ads (like 5 seconds each) and afterwards the playvig software tallies whether or not they completed a quest and what to award them in Playvig tokens. They can exchange those tokens for real money (paypal credit) or gift cards or other items. OR they can exchange them for DBET which has real value as well, then they can wager with those DBET's, like whether or not one player can get x amount of headshots before another. Or whoever scores the highest in a battle royale match wins the pot.

Adoption in each next industry brings cryptocurrency closer to the mainstream. Blockchain-based casinos are already being built, so now it's time for esport. I am sure that there are projects that develop a combination of blockchain and cryptocurrencies with online games and will soon appear.

Do you think it will help bring in mass adoption?
After I read the two articles actually it was not entirely focused on esport, I think they only focus provided a platform for bets or something like twitch(?), and previously there was something like that, like Asura project.

So I don't think this will be too big because maybe only a few people understand. Unless Steam or the game developer gives an option to buy their game credit using cryptocurrency, that might affect to mass adoption. Well, that's what I think.

Well, again, you saw the shares Blizzard? They continue to fall like smart companies. I do not think that's possible. Because each company seeks to earn itself. That will lead to the creation of 1000 useless coins. And we will lose all meaning.
