I am an expert.  I know what I am talking about.

I have made many people happy.

Notice the tree of this FORUM
next comes ECONOMY (which we all know as cryptocoin afficionados and investors, is a fragile thing)
next comes MARKETS (which are made possible by exchanges, in the same way a shopping mall makes a market happen)
next comes SERVICE...  

Here is how I, as top boss, would handle this so called "malleability theft" (if the press release of Gox is to be believed).

The minute, the very first minute, that my correct implementation (Gox was not implemented correctly) was causing duplicate transactions, I would shut it down.   NOT JUST WITHDRAWALS tho, because I would not want to be seen as incompetent or evil.

So, then having shut it down, I would openly and honestly explain the issue to the community.  Then, when resolved, begin to allow n00bs to send me their cash.  F***ING DUH.

So, then the excuse is, "Oh well we can't comment because our lawyers tell us not to" ..Because of course Gox was suing some other ex-partner and so then the lawyers cause everything to be massively fucked up, not because lawyers are incompetent, but because they bring with their cadre, the CONE OF SILENCE.  This cone of silence, does not help anyone, and therefore, lawyers are an inducement to criminality, in a society.

Well, due to all of this, that's why I would have shut that thing down the minute it starts to smell bad.  Whereas what they are doing here is ignoring rotten eggs, and trying to pump in "fresh egg smell", having just successfully behaved as incompetently as anybody in any emerging sector has ever done, by leaving the IN WINDOW open, for people to buy into this mess.

So, to recap: Lawyers are why he can say "Sorry I can't say anything"  PROBLEM

And then also, if you look at the potato market collapsing of the 1970's, it took what, 7 years for that to finally end in judgement?  Years of lost profit for all those people's coins.  They shoulda shut the thing down the minute they knew something was wrong, because lawyers do not help technical situations, they are not only NOT technical people, their minds are effectively destroyed by law school.
