Hopefully, disabling signatures is allowed to every member. I agree too, it's not annoying, but I was curious. Signatures tho, are.
You can also disable users signatures on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme

I don't know if everyone can do that or if it's only for higher ranked users, though.

Signatures are not just used for bounty advertising. Some of us use them for personal messages or news comments. By disabling signatures you will miss these messages.

True that, but I reckon most are used for advertising. You know, this forum is mainly a money-making machine so everyone's trying to advertise their agenda (psst... myself included) Grin

I can confirm the features apply to all ranks; tested on my alt.

Disable ads:
Please don't do this unless you really need to. The forum's ads are not very annoying!

Obviously this is only going to disable the single banner ad under the first post on each page (which I agree is not very annoying). It does not affect signature advertising.
I see a few people complain about annoyance from signatures and wanted to turn off all signatures on the forum for a period such as 1 month or 2 months. The one I remember is phillipma1957  Cheesy. He replied like that several times. Fortunately, I believe that not many users want to disable signatures on the forum (by themselves) or by the admin.

Signatures (themselves) are cool. They bring something to the forum and members:
- Static (not animated) signatures build up a more friendly interface for the forum. The forum will be so boring it it is fully texts.
- They contains information (on new trend, new technology, new companies). I don't say you can believe in all companies that promote their companies with signatures on the forum. Many of them are scam projects. Trend, yes, you can get trend from signatures. Latest months, since the pandemic, the industry of gaming and gambling has been growing very well. Many new companies are born and old companies decided to run their campaigns or expand their campaigns on the forum (with more positions, more ranks, and more types - not only restrict with signature campaign).
- Good companies in crypto should start on the forum - the biggest forum in crypto. They need a place (here), they need promotions (here with signature as one of very basic choice for them).

How do I do that?
The option is only available to users who are a Hero or Legendary rank, or are a VIP, donator, moderator, or admin.

Once you become a Hero rank, click on "Profile", then on "Forum Profile Information", and then there is a checkbox right at the bottom which says:

Sometimes you can see them. Quotes from many people including Satoshi. Is there a list with all of them? I want to read them.
