Going to res this to keep everything together. Does anyone have any resources for calculating the number of blocks and blocktime to have a certain distribution over a certain amount of time? Are there formulas somewhere or a calculator?

It would be better if you would release something like a theoretical white paper without technical stuff. I guess, if you would provide more information then you would have more success in finding a developer.

Any other referrals? Didn't even know someone had a service like that. Looking for someone to work on Quark and is flexible enough to tie it into another small program that has to be written. The coin itself doesn't need to be remarkable. Intention is to remain a PoW coin throughout it's lifetime.

Trying to stay away from other 'goto' algos because I enjoy the crypto community and Sha/xXX/Crypto are pretty much dead for small miners. Neoscrypt or Lyra2RE would also be possible options.

Hmmm maybe I'm advertising this in the wrong spot and I'll have to move it to the services forum.

This forum is the best place to find someone who could help you with your endeavour. You can try the services Poll, there you will find a lot of developers that can create your own coin! Other than that you can use the cryptonote platform and create your cryptocurrency

Where would you look to find coin developers willing to work with new coins? I'm looking into making my own, but would need someone with knowledge of making coins (not just copy paste). The coin wouldn't have to be anything special and could probably just clone another popular coin, however the usage of it would be completely different as would the distribution (but once again nothing super special). Some backend code would have to be written to do a few special things I have in mind, but very easy stuff. I could probably do myself, but it has to tie into the coin which complicates things and I have a lot on my plate besides this.

I'm trying to be vague, but wouldn't mind referrals or talking in PMs with someone. I don't have a lot in the way of monetary value, so it would probably be payment in the form of the currency we're making (which is monopoly money till things get going) and possibly some BTC. Time frame would definitely be generous, but within reason. There may be a v2/3 of the coin as well depending on how the first generation goes. This has been something I've been planning for well over a year and isn't going to be a ordinary pump/dump coin.

Development will need to continue after making the coin in the form of bug fixes and such, specifically to the extra things that need to be tied in, but that's quite flexible as well.

I don't expect this to be the next Ethereum or anything like that, but it will be interesting to see where it goes!
