I was about to say something about this and Bitcoin, but there's only so many articles you can comment on before you end up sounding repetitive :S why don't people learn from their mistakes, ever?

I'm generally a pacifist who likes to see militants on any side get thrown in jail.  However,  the president of Uzbekistan literally boils people alive.  Seriously,  google "Uzbekistan boils freezes" if you don't believe me. 

Some people in France sent money to their Uzbek friends so they could try to get the government to stop machine gunning down their other Uzbek friends.  France threw them in jail for it.

While bitcoin didn't save these guys this time, it's good to know there is a tool like bitcoin to help keep tyrants and the policies that enable them at bay.
