It was obvious the Argentine were going to lose but they gave us a pretty good match. There were 7 exciting goals where one of them is from penalty. Argentina played well compared to their last 3 matches. With so many good players, Argentina can't do anything (sort of like an imbecile). All the best for France with their speedstar Mbappe.

Kicks off!!

Messi needs himself to get back ASAP. May be today?

Free kick France. 8'
Seems dangerous
Shot was very close, returned from the goal bar. Good for Argentina  Smiley

WTF!
Penalty!!! France!!!  Undecided

Goal...  Embarrassed
1 - 0 GRIEZMANN (FRANCE) 13'

Ok it's a free kick for France. 6 inches outside the penalty area, pretty close. 19'

Again!... Nearly

Kylian Mbappe is giving the Argentinian defence nightmares and we're not beyond the first 20 minutes. Again he uses his pace, latching onto a long ball this time, and it's Nicolas Tagliafico who takes the hit and brings him down just outside the area.

No repeat from the free-kick though, as Paul Pogba fires over.

Safe for the time being. Come on Argentina!

Mbappe is making Argentine's life harder. Messi is still hiding behind his shadow. 31'

GOAL!!! Argentina!!! DI MARÍA.... Thank you. 41'
1 - 1
We are alive!

What a strike! France give Angel Di Maria far too much time 25 yards from goal, but the finish is astounding. He thunders a left-footed strike that swirls into the top right corner beyond the despairing Hugo Lloris.

All level. Game on.

Half time 1 - 1 DI MARÍA just saved Argentina.

2nd half kicks off.

GOAL!!! Argentina Lead!!!  MERCADO SCORES!! 48'
1 - 2

What a start to the half! Lionel Messi strikes from inside the area, with Gabriel Mercado re-directing it beyond the stranded Hugo Lloris. Argentina have turned it around!

SHIT! France again!!! Embarrassed  PAVARD SCORES!! 57'
2 - 2

DAMN IT! France again! 3 - 2  MBAPPE  SCORES 64'
MBAPPE is killing Argentina...  Embarrassed

Now 4 - 2 MBAPPE (FRANCE) SCORES AGAIN!! 68'
Seems like Argentina is no more.

With space available, Frances is a killer: six passes in a few seconds were enough for Mbappe to extend France’s lead. Everything is beginning to seem too difficult for Argentina now...

Teenage kicks

Since Michael Owen scored exactly 20 years ago, Julian Green four years ago is the only teenager to score in the knockout stage.

He also becomes the sixth teenager to score more than once at a World Cup: Pele (6, Brazil), Edmund Conen (4, Germany), Manuel Rosas (2, Mexico), Jose Altafini (2, Brazil) and Michael Owen (2, England).

Time is running out for Argentina 90'
2 goals behind  Embarrassed

YES!!! ONE GOAL!!!
4 - 3 KUN AGUERO (ARGENTINA) 90'+3'

Need one me. Time is short...

Full time 4 -3 France won!
Argentina GONE! Good bye Argentina. France was a better team today. Well compiled game. MBAPPE was extra ordinary.
